I had high expectations for Mystery Manila, but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The concept of an escape room is exciting, but the execution here left a lot to be desired.

First, the puzzles felt poorly designed. The room was filled with locks, which is understandable, but the codes to open them made no logical sense. There was no real connection between the clues and the theme of the room, making the experience frustrating rather than enjoyable. Instead of feeling like we were solving a well-thought-out mystery, it felt more like we were randomly guessing answers with no clear reasoning.

Additionally, there were elements in the room that seemed completely unnecessary or even misleading. For example, I couldn’t understand why there was a poster with capitalized adjectives—it didn’t fit into the game at all and only added to the confusion. Small details like this made it seem as if the room was put together without much thought.

I was really looking forward to this experience, expecting an immersive and challenging escape room, but it did not live up to the hype. Tried School of Sorcery, the gameplay is a bit outdated or shall I say dependent to the tv and response of the watcher but if you are maybe starting in escape rooms it can still be a good try. Or maybe its just the style of it. Or maybe that room just doesn’t fit in our personal preference.

Have experienced different escape rooms other than Mystery Manila and if I would rank them about the gameplay style, this would be on the bottom list. But who knows maybe this is your top.
