This was my first time trying out Cyma since I we don’t try out greek food often. Our first experience with this restaurant was really great! Food was very filling! It was a good thing that we didn’t order too much since we weren’t sure about the portion sizes yet. I ordered hummus to share and their chicken gyro. I think they gave out big servings. It was freshly cooked and hot when it was served to our table. Their home made pita bread was very thick and I enjoyed it since there was a slight buttery taste to it. Their hummus was also good. I’m not fond of vegetables so I had my lettuce on the side and wow the amount of lettuce that was supposed to be in my Gyro was a lot! The chicken gyro was good, the wrap was very thick and warm. My only comment would be that the fries were a bit overcooked and too crispy for my liking — other than that I really did enjoy my food. What I loved the most about this restaurant was the service. Our waiter, Kiko, was very attentive and friendly. He was easy to talk to and overall very good service from him! He was there immediately when we were ready to order, gave us our refills when we needed it, and our bill came in fairly quickly. He even offered us desserts but we were too full to order any.
When we entered the restaurant it was a bit smokey probably coming from the kitchen. Maybe there was something wrong with their ventilation. When we were about to leave one of their air conditioners had water dripping out of it. They placed a wet floor sign to warn the customers about it. It was a good thing that it didn’t affect any of the customers dining in. The restaurant was a bit small. It was very distracting when there were some kids running around the small space between the couch seats and the 2 person tables near the window. Although that is not the restaurant’s fault, I was just a bit concerned that the kids might accidentally hit one of the servers trying to...
Read moreMy favorite restaurant in Eastwood! I love this place, there are many menu options to choose from, and specials every night. The range of dishes is impressive. Some are still traditional Greek preparation, but the menu leans to more of a fusion style delicately imbuing the essence of Grecian cuisine in the flavors, sides, or presentation of the foods. You can run up a bill here pretty easily; but the portions are large and some strategic ordering will provide a delicious meal at a reasonable price for an upscale resto like this one.
Talaga - I'm not 'jus' sayin', I mean for real 4real! I dine here 30+ times a year.
And after 2 weeks touring Athens & Crete, I know authentic Greek Cooking. I ate my fill (and then some) from Heraklion to Agios Nikolaos (and back)! The longtime staff at Cyma Eastwood are the best. Always professional, knowledgeable,...
Read moreMy family and I visited this restaurant last night for supper and had a average to below average experience. First, we had to sit outside due to no available seating inside; Second, it was hot outside, we sweat the whole time, and there was no fan to mitigate the heat a little bit; Third, the restaurant didn't have one of the items that we ordered so we had to order something in its place' Fourth, my family member's food was served cold, our server agreed to take it and warm it up, but it took close to 15 minutes for the plate of food to be returned with warmed up food (totally unacceptable and they should have given us my family member's plate of food FREE of charge due to this huge inconvenience at this expensive restaurant. I am visiting from overseas, but if I live in the area I wouldn't return to this expensive, below...
