Shakey's Pizza Parlor — Restaurant in Quezon City

Shakey’s has always been one of my favorite fast food chains in the Philippines, but today we were extremely disappointed—especially with concerns about our health and safety.

We ordered the P999 meal package, which includes pizza, chicken, mojos with mozzarella sticks, and a 1.5L Coke. It was a last-minute order around 11 PM. When we received the food, the pizza was cold, and the mojos and chicken tasted old—almost like they had been cooked in reused or stale oil. The chicken, which is usually my favorite and something I can eat 2–3 pieces of, was barely edible this time. We only ate one piece because of the off taste.

Shakey’s is known to be pricier than other fast food options, and we expect quality and service that reflects that price. Unfortunately, this experience fell far below those expectations. Shortly after eating the mojos and chicken, I experienced stomach pain and nausea, almost to the point of vomiting.

To the crew: if you’re too tired or overwhelmed to prepare food properly and safely late at night, please do not accept orders just for the sake of completing them. We still paid full price for the food, and we expect to receive what we paid for—not substandard, potentially unsafe meals.

1-Star Review – Shakey’s Eastwood (March 28, 2025) – Rude Staff & No Customer Care

As someone who also works in fast food, I know how customers should be treated—and Shakey’s Eastwood failed miserably.

No welcome, just annoyance – Arrived soaked at 10:40 PM, and the cashier (man with braces) acted like we were a burden. No dine-in allowed 1 hr before closing– Fine, but then no utensils were given, forcing us to buy some at Uncle John’s just to eat the food we paid for. Ignored requests – Asked for service water 3 times and still got nothing after 15 minutes. Staff prioritized chatting– While we waited over 20 minutes, they were laughing instead of working.

If you don’t want customers, just close early....

Shakey's is Shakey's. The food is always the same, so this rating will be more about the location.

The restaurant itself isn't huge - so bringing a large group isn't advisable. Also, parking slots are limited as it's shared parking with all the other tenants in this complex.

The wait staff are all friendly and helpful, but one comment I would call out is the staff that are on break eat their food at the corner table. Now I understand that due to the small size of the place there probably isn't a staff room, but having the staff eat rice and ulam that you don't find on the Shakey's menu isn't something you want to...
