Haha what is this place? Confusing is the best description. Why is it called BBQ chicken when everything is deep fried? They had a guy in front explaining how to order to a group of people, I skipped listening to that and went to the counter. If anyone needs to explain any process, it's already too confusing and I'm hungry.
You go from Step 1 to Step 5 with your own tray, following the signboards, basically serving yourself like at a school canteen. I saw on the sign that a solo order of chicken cost P299 so that's what I told the guy. Then the guy helped me go to the other steps and pointed to the utensils where I can self-serve. Fantastic! As I filled up my tray, all the while I thought it was included in the P299.
My plate ended up being P600+ without a drink. Maybe I should've listened to the guy in front explaining lol.
I took the spiciest chicken, rated 4 chilipepper icons, but it lacked any considerable spicyness. It wasnt bad, definitely not great either, but the solo was just too much for me to eat. For the sidings, the tteokbokki (P129) was the same quality as a grocerystore kiosk, you know the ones at SM or Puregold š¤£. It was even served in a carton bowl. The seaweed roll (P30) had plain noodles inside. The dumpling wasnt impressive and filled with something yellow. The bimbap roll was decent but unremarkable.
Did I mention that everything was deep fried?
I had to get a separate coleslaw (P50) to add some vegetables (and nicer colors) on my tray.
I guess they know their market well - all deep-fried, heavy on carbs, zero fresh vegetables, zero on presentation and colors. All deep-fried.
On the TV they had the guy from Squid Game in some reality advertisement for the BBQ brand. I guess this place is popular in S. Korea.
I really regret going here. There's many better places I could've went to spend P600+. Maybe a nice salmon steak or something, served on a proper plate to my table, without confusions or the guy from Squid Game on a weird show.
There was plenty of seating in this place. Maybe because i'm not the only one who thinks this is crap?
But in the spirit of self-service, i did bring back my own tray and cleaned the table. What...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreOne fine Saturday, together with my family, we decided to have late lunch here. There's nothing to complain about the food, we we were actually surprised to get an 8-pc. Chicken for free since they have a rainy day promo. The only thing that disappointed us, and totally ruined my appetite was at the middle of our meal, I decided to order a soda. The cashier who took our order was inside the counter, a woman whom we learned to be their Supervisor was standing infront of him. So I was raising my hand to call their attention for the said soda. The woman was literally 15 feet away from us, when she noticed me raising my hand, she said "Yes po?" If I heard and read her lips correctly. I looked at my wife surprised. Again, I raised my hand and she just did the same thing, as I told myself "Ako ba dapat lalapit?". The cashier who took our order and who was inside, rushed out to ask us. Then I told him I wanted to order a soda, and asked him if the woman in front of him was their manager and he answered āNo, sheās notā. He went ahead to get the soda, and the woman came to me and asked āYes po? Ano po yun?ā I told her, āSa same industry rin naman ako, hindi ka ba pwede lumapit?ā She literally ruined a supposed cozy and sumptuous experience here with my family. My appetite got ruined, I literally didnāt finish my food. My wife ended up checking the menu if it included service charge and there it was 7% Service Charge is included in fine print. What we were expecting to be a fine experience turned into a very disappointing and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt would be perfect if the cashier named Ann would smile more and be more accommodating. All employees are accommodating and happy to assist except her. She looks so pissed off during her shift at 8:50PM and has no energy to face and accommodate customers. We are so excited because the food here was really great from our personal experience. However, upon paying and telling our order the cashier(Ann) has no energy and seems that she doesnāt enjoy what she is doing.. we have to repeat our order for her because the one on the screen doesnāt reflect our complete order. And when we repeat our orders she told us that āyan nga maāamā wherein she just input the missing order, making us look like a fool that we donāt know how to read. Our experience today was really...
