I finally tried little buffet town in greenhills for my son and niece’s joint bday celebration last Oct for dinner. Calling to reserve was fairly easy. Staff answered the phone and was courteous and was able to answer all my questions and accommodate requests like two tables near each other and also if we can bring cake (which is allowed without corkage fee, thankfully). Food : it was quite good with many selection. I specifically like the idea that you can also do shabu shabu on the table, aside from the usual buffet spread. There is carving station as well as sushi and wide selection of jap cold dishes. The hot dishes selection is so so, not too many. But the shabu shabu items as well as the sushi and sashimi spread make up for it. Dessert : do not expect a lot from the selection as it is limited. If you are a dessert lover, you might find it quite few (like i did). Though, fear not, there is the ice cream station for ice cream lovers with ample flavors to choose from. Hmm, Adding ice cream teppanyaki might be a good idea too. Drink : selection is also good with a lot to choose from. Coffee, which is ucc grounds, is also good! We had to wait and go back for a few times as the coffee was not refilled immediately by the staff. Sugar and cream area is not quite clean too. A bit messy. Ambiance: lighting was a bit more on white which makes it more homey than elegant (think of hotels). Touch of yellow or warm lights might add more to the ambiance, given the price of the buffet. Service: can be improved as it was full house in a fri night. Staff were hurriedly going about, esp bussing out plates from the table. Friendly though seems a bit tired from the peak hours. One thing that made my dining experience quite stressful was the number of plates on the table. I had 5 (big and growing) kids with me and imagine our plates on the table! The dishes on the buffet tables are on plates so imagine each dish we get would have a plate for that on the table. Calling servers to take them away was kind of stressful for me. Not once did they take it on their own (without me calling them). I can also imagine the amount of water and dish soap to wash those after. 😂 Appreciated they made cakes for the bday celebrants but forgot to coordinate with us when it’s going to be presented. (They presented it right at the start, no more surprise.) but nevertheless, we still apreciated it. 🙏🏻 Parking : good thing they had valet services as they have no parking in front. Either you park in the mall or use their valet. The wait for the valet personel (before) as well as the car (after) can be long but it’s still better than none. Overall: i’d say i’d go back to this resto esp for special occasions. Food is good and place is spacious too.

We went here Thursday Noon for the Lunch Buffet. Currently, they have discount promos for BPI/BDO/Metrobank Card Holders and Cash Payments until December from what I've heard (30% off). They have valet parking but if in case you don't see any valet, you can actually park at Promenade Greenhills (closest) or nearby establishments. You can make reservation by chatting with their FB page or through their Viber Channels. You would also need to give a small down payment when reserving for at least 5 pax. They offer a Unli Buffet/Hotpot option where you can also select the type of hotpot soup depending on your preference. Upon entering, the entire vibes speaks Japanese Modern Decoration. Foods are placed in circular isles where you just go around and check all available food options. They are neatly categorized based on the type of food or nationality. I saw Japanese Foods, Hotpot Selections, Filipino Food, Roasted Meats, Drinks and the Dessert Isle. You can also order some grilled/cook to order foods and they will just deliver your order to the table. For the Japanese food, you have a selection of Japanese cuisines and a selection of Sushi Rolls, Shrimp Tempura, and Salmon Sashimi (best item for me by the way). For Filipino Cuisine, you have the likes of Beef Kare Kare and even street foods like Tokneneng, Kikiam etc. They offer 2 roast items the day I went to. They are Lechon Belly and Lechon Baka (Beef). The best one for me was the Lechon Baka due to the equal balance of fat and meat and it was very tender and flavorful. You have a wide variety selection of Drinks including Juices/Chocolate/Coffee. They also have unlimited Beer (San Miguel Light/Pale Pilsen)! For desserts, they have bite sizes of Panna cotta, cakes, and a selection of Ice Cream Flavors. Finally, the hotpot selections consist of Meats, Seafood, Balls (I loved their Mozzarella Ball), Noodles, and a wide selection of Vegetables. They also have a selection of Hotpot sauces so you can try a lot of them or make your own combination. I'll tell you now the cuts of meat they used for the hotpot was spot on! You can definitely tell it has a higher quality than most normal run of the mills hotpot restaurant available here in Metro Manila. And for that, I gave a high rating on their food quality. We definitely enjoyed our Lunch here. The servers were very nice and accommodating. Plus, for a big group (not sure if there's an event needed), they ask you to take a picture with their buffet town logo using a DSLR and give you a hard printed copy. That was a very nice souvenir to have. We will be definitely coming back to this restaurant and invite more friends and family.

The newest star of the buffet world is Buffet Town but the experience is a hit and miss. (feedback from all 7 pax of us) THE GOOD— The style of putting portions like salmon sashimi and cooked dishes into individual mini bowls for customers to get is classy. For the price the food is ok like fresh suahe and thinly sliced beef but no better than buffets of similar class. The porquetta was nicely seasoned with crunchy skin. The grilled shrimp (on skewers) smelled heavenly with the body already peeled thereby preventing the usual problem of grilled shrimp of the meat sticking to the skin. Nice choices for the hot pot broth (laksa, pork collagen, sukiyaki). THE MAJOR GRIPES— Many of the salmon sashimi were still frozen when served (yuk). Some of the chicken yakitori were still raw (double yuk), a salmonella hazard. The pizza though flavorful was a greasy mess (fatty meat shouldn’t have been used IMHO). The tempura and crème brûlée ran out waaaaay too early. Unlike the fragrant grilled shrimp, the grilled chicken wings were not only devoid of the grilly essence, it had an unpleasant gaminess. Lastly, throughout the meal there was only 1 server manning the cooked dishes/pizza/porquetta station (yes 1 person for all these foods) so you had to wait quite a bit just for someone to scoop you the dish you want (a fail in logistics) even if there’s only 1 person ahead of you (specially if the server is cutting the porquetta), so imagine if there’s 3 or 4. BTW, one of the solo server was snarky too, saying his thinly-veiled insult with a laugh so I laughed too saying I’ll rate the place 1 star less hahaha. Illogical I think to save by being understaffed (and undertrained to be polite as well) resulting in less than ideal dining experience. Oh finally in this long review a tip — this place is evidence not to trust too much reels/tiktok/ig/fb influencers… bye-yiih.

VERY HONEST REVIEW:

Before deciding to spend Mother's Day here, I first read the reviews online (Google) to check for negative comments. Unfortunately, there were a lot. I thought maybe the good ratings came from the employees just to neutralize the bad ones.

So without overthinking, we went ahead. We arrived at 6:30 PM. There were only a few people inside. We started wondering– wala masyado tao, eh Mother’s Day ngaun..

The staff led us to our table. As we got our plates bigla kami napa-nganga, ngek.. WALANG FOOD NA NAKADISPLAY. All we saw were crumbs of food nakakalat sa counter. We walked around, circling that small area pero wala naka-display. The cooks were all busy in the middle of the cubicle preparing food. Then one of them put one small plate (platito) of a very dry chicken on the counter and I took it immediately like 'my gosh, ano to competition, pabilisan ng kuha?' even if I don't like it I just took it, coz I had no choice walang food eh.

One crew asked us if we want to order coz food need to be ordered daw. OMG. Akala ko ba buffet?! Just point from their dry display of food what we like daw, cook them then serve in our table.

After ordering, we went in the middle area where we saw leaves, and more leaves... plus a few ingredients for shabu-shabu. The selection was very limited. We skipped this area since we are not interested in sabaw.

Lastly, the final section, maliit na counter, we saw 3 covered pots. When we opened them, it was rice, dry-looking kare-kare, and a flat shrimp with sauce. There were only two plates displayed: one lechon plate with just crumbs left and the other was tempura where only the breading was in there. Hahaha! At this point, I had to ask ano itong napasukan namin??

Of course it's a buffet. Buffet na walang laman. Food only displayed at 6am exactly for dinner time, pag ubos na ung mga puro platito na nakaportion, that's it, need mo ng mag-order sa mga cooks. Hahaha. Then why did u call this buffet then?!

Gusto ko ng umiyak.

We went back to our table carrying our drinks na napakatamis! Wala na nga food diabetes drinks pa iinumin namin! (I just drank water instead). We tried eating what was left from the display—2 platito ng sushi at 2 platito ng super dry na beef. Napilitan na lang kami kainin kesa magmukhang tanga. We wanted to back out but we were already there for 30 mins.

Our ordered food came after 30 minutes—just 3 small platito. That was it. We didn't order anymore COZ THAT'S ANOTHER 30 MINS!

Nakakaiyak. I wanted to complain. But it's Mothers Day I don't want to ruin the occasion with my family.

And the worst part? I paid ₱4,715 for 3. Mas mahal pa kayo sa NUI na may lobster, lamb, and all gourmet food?! Sa inyo walang pagkain. Literal!

Para kaming ninakawan ng pera.

THIS IS THE WORST BUFFET IN THE ENTIRE METRO. Mas matinong malayo ang karenderia na 299 pesos eat all u can...
