I’m writing this review with much disappointment after a frustrating visit to TuanTuan's Greenhills Promenade branch. I brought my mom for a late lunch because we’ve had great experiences at their UP Town Center branch and expected the same quality of service and food. Unfortunately, this visit was far from what we hoped for.

We ordered our meals and, while eating, I placed an advance take-out order for their Crispy Barbecue Pork Snow Buns—one of their bestsellers—because it tends to sell out quickly. I made sure to order it early for that exact reason.

We finished our meal and waited for the take-out, assuming it was being prepared. When I asked the staff to include our leftovers in the take-out, I was told it was already out of stock. Apparently, a GrabFood rider had just picked up four orders. I explained I had ordered mine well ahead of time, yet it was given away.

With no choice, I had to settle for a replacement dish—only to find that three other tables around us, who arrived after I placed my order, were served the Crispy Barbecue Pork Snow Buns. This was beyond frustrating and unfair.

To make matters worse, the staff assumed I was in a rush (even though I never asked for the bill) and offered to reheat the replacement dish since it had turned cold. That’s not just bad service—it felt like we were being treated as second-class customers.

I can't help but wonder if we were deprioritized simply because we didn’t “look rich” compared to other guests. It’s sad to think that such discrimination could exist in a place we used to enjoy.

My mom specifically requested to eat at TuanTuan, and since we were already at Greenhills, we chose this branch thinking it would live up to the UP Town Center standard. Sadly, it was a mistake.

This branch needs serious improvement in how they handle pre-orders, fairness, and basic customer respect. We left feeling disappointed...

Me & the family just went to this spot at Promenade for a quick coffee, but their Chinese bun offerings made me curious, & I'm glad we gave in. They're probably the best buns in the country.

Those bbq buns are Delicious with a capital D. Extremely tasty & saucy pork bbq fillings despite the small sized buns. The actual buns have that perfect softness & combined with a slightly toasted outer layer for an added crispiness.

The charcoal custard ones are also interesting. The buns on these have that egg-like texture (not sure how else to describe it) combined with the burst or the hot custard cream (straight out of the steamer or whatever they used to make it).

Their coffees & coffee jelly were all...

I dine here mostly for Pork buns and their to-die-for Chicken Curry-- my absolute favorites in their establishment. Writing this makes me want to plan my next visit already 😂. This branch has a waiting time of half an hour or longer depending on the occasion. Staff needs to be a tad more courteous though. On the other hand, I must have changed upon when they're knackered from strutting around and serving everyone, which isn't easy from what I can tell. Food is complemented by the resto's atmosphere. Aesthetically pleasing furnitures and fixtures, all add to the dining experience that...

If you want Chinese but desire something different, this is the place to go. From their fried turnip cakes (in photo), baked rice, and curries, it truly is a medley of cantonese cooking and a western purpose. Although it says #1 in Vancouver i have never come across it in Canada. Tuan Tuan does however faithfully and successfully bring over many of the cantonese favourites found in that culinary-rich city. Cons: Stay away from the noodles tho. Ridiculous over priced and very underwhelming.

We tried to avail the dimsum till you drop at the greenhills branch and waited for one and a half hours and when we were about to sit they informed us that the spare ribs and wanton noodle was not available anymore...so what's the point of availing the promo with missing dishes...we had the most terrible experience in a restaurant ever..so no ratings because we did not taste any food but took home a terrible experience. Thank you Tuantuan for that.

Availed of the unli-dimsum promo. Food is alright, good taste and good flavor. Noodles are bad though, too soft and the broth lacked flavor being mostly just salty. The tausi ribs were good, tender, and juicy. The HK style beef stew tastes weird, maybe a touch too creamy. The snow buns, the supposed star of the show did not have enough filling and felt rushed. One bum's gelatin was still solid and was not properly thawed.
