Overpriced and overhyped in my honest opinion.
Don’t get me wrong, Lan hotpot offers a decent experience, but its just that there are strictly better alternatives.
Their offer is ₱799 weekend, which is ₱100 more expensive than the usual hotpot, but the package do not include cauliflower and shrimp, among other offerings. They also do not have pork, which I suppose is acceptable. Their balls are decent quality. The experience is good overall just that there is better value for money elsewhere.
We could still taste the dishwashing liquid from the plum juice container.
Oh you do get some fried rice and roasted chicken here, but personally not a fan.
As for the service, The restaurant manager was attentive and on point though which is appreciated. We dined kind of late in the evening, and it took forever for them to refill the sauces and garnish, granted it was already near closing time so I kinda gave them a pass. Regardless, overall they will not go beyond customer expectations.
All in all, you kinda get what you expect and pay for, and its not bad if you just want a no frills hotpot nearby, but if you are looking for better value or to specifically go here for hotpot, just...
Read moreI rarely leave bad reviews, but my experience at Lan Hot Pot Greenhills was so bad it deserves a warning.
Even with only 2 tables occupied, the restaurant was already dirty. Tables were messy, the self-serve station was unclean, and nothing looked fresh. If this is how it is with almost no customers, I can only imagine the state during busy hours.
The food quality was equally bad — ingredients didn’t look or taste fresh, and nothing was appetizing. The hotpot setup felt unhygienic, and just looking around killed my appetite.
Service was just as terrible. Waiters didn’t seem interested in assisting customers, and any requests felt like an inconvenience to them. No effort to make the dining experience pleasant.
This place is a waste of time and money. There are many cleaner, better hotpot restaurants in Manila — this one isn’t worth a single peso.
Came hungry, left angry. Lan Hot Pot Greenhills served me dirt (visually) and disappointment (literally). Zero cleanliness, zero...
Read moreTHIS IS NOT AN UNLI PLACE. Just a heads up.
The place is bright and welcoming. The staff are very attentive and helpful. They have a Chinese staff that can talk to you in Chinese if that's more comfortable for you.
We got the P1599 set which you can see in the photo, good for 2. It came with 2 rice, a bunch of vegetables, some mushroom, a lot of bean curd skin, few slices of beef and 4 slices of pork. The beef are tender even with thick slices. Even the soup was amazing.
Need to add P49 per person if you want to get their unlimited sauce. It's worth it because what is shabu shabu without sauce? Price is a bit steep but the quality and service makes up for it. We had to get some more balls and enoki because it just wasn't enough for us. The way they laid out the other foods made us want to get as much as we want but we were in awe of those prices.
They have private rooms great for rowdy families, meetings, or if you just want...
