First time here. We ordered their beef stew, wonton, xiaolongbao, hakaw, and mini paos.
Beef stew tastes amazing. You can really taste the flavors of the beef and it was seasoned perfectly. The broth doesn't taste like anise, and although it smells sweet, it wasn't. It was the right balance of sweet and umami.
The wonton smells like tinola at first, but when you incorporate the garlic topping, it starts to taste differently. The pork wonton was packed and doesn't taste like ground pork at all. You know the usual kanto siomai taste? It doesn't taste like that. The broth feels like something you would want to slurp to cure hangover because it's that soothing. They're very generous with noodle portions as well.
The mini paos were also a great addition. The bread itself was moist and doesn't stick on your gums. The filling was generous and sulit for its price.
The hakaw stole the show, really. The shrimp was succulent, pork was juicy, and matutulala ka na lang after mong matikman. 12/10 would recommend! You'd think at first it looks kinda small, but then it's the perfect size for a mouthful of goodness.
The xiaolongbao, compared to the hakaw, was a bit lackluster. As a stand alone, it's good enough. It has a sweet aftertaste that doesn't taste like ginger. The pork isn't maanta and does not smell weird unlike others. Overall, I prefer the hakaw better but would still recommend this.
Looking forward to trying other items...
Read moreMy family just went there for the first time. They are satisfied with the foods. The only thing that needs improvement is when and how to serve the food. Appetizers and soup should be served first but it was served last. Main dishes should be served all at the same time to be enjoyed hindi yung hiwa-hiwalay. Fried rice was served but no ulam came right away🧐. It was my moms bday and we thought this place would be perfect to have it. They couldn’t even take decent pics of the dishes all together because it was all served separately then wait again and again for the next dishes to come that they couldn’t wait but just to eat because they were all hungry to wait for the next dish to come. They...
Read moreIf you’re craving authentic and hearty Taiwanese-Chinese comfort food, Buching Restaurant is a gem worth visiting! 🍜 The beef noodle soup is incredibly flavorful, the broth is rich and comforting, with tender chunks of beef and perfectly cooked noodles. Their dumplings and dim sum selections are also a must-try, especially paired with their dipping sauces.
I also loved their soft and fluffy mantou buns, perfect to balance out the savory dishes. Everything came out hot and fresh, and the portions are generous. The ambiance is simple but welcoming, and service is quick and friendly.
Definitely a place I’d come back to when I want a satisfying noodle and...
