This is my third review. My wife had the snapper. Still no pickled onions as the menu said. We did ask for some, and they gave us a side dish. Why don't they include whats in the description on the menu in the meal? Other than that, i had the salmon, the salmon eas good, but the rice "risotto" was so salty almost impossible to eat, my god! But idk. I definitely did not like the fake risotto and do not know if they use Aborio rice or not, I couldn't see. It was too cooked up with orange something. maybe that was cheese whizz. It was ok. Way better than that other place, Mama lous. Their sister store. (Read a previous post) ok. That's it. Maybe I'll go again.
This is my second review. This time, I had the grilled snapper it was great. Just no pickled onions like the menu said. My wife had the ravioli. It was great. Other than a few rookie waitress mistakes and our 5 minute wait between getting both our meals, the place once again is the best italian restaurant in the area. I. I can't believe their sister restaurant is so bad (read my review on "mama lous"). i will definitely go back. The food is great. The atmosphere is good. And I'm italian decent. i know good food. Thanks.
I gotta review this place. This is my first time here. The place is A1 #1. Best food. Best pizza. Best civilized service with personality ! I love this place. It was my first time there. Why did I wait so long to go???? I'll be back. I'm Sicilian and know a good pizza pie. This place rocked. Chill place. Prices were respectful. Damn the service was spectacular, and like I said before, "with a personality" (what a concept). More of these places in the...
Read moreIf you happen to be in Sta. Rosa looking for a unique place to eat that you can't find elsewhere, Nonna's Nuvali is a good choice. This easily became an addition to the few notable establishments that serves decent pizza and pasta.
It is located at the al fresco dining hubs in Solenad 3. The outdoor seating area is surrounded by garden plants and beautiful string lights at night. The interiors is an appealing sight of modern industrial design. Ideal for intimate family dinners and date nights.
I often select the classic dishes on my first visit. Tried the Margherita (P295), Truffle Pasta (P295), and Mushroom Chicharon (P160). The latter is the only thing I dislike. The Chicharon appears to be oily and mushy. Wished I ordered the mozarela sticks instead.
I must commend the efficient service. Food is served fast and also observed that each guest is attended with grace. Strongly recommends Nonna's for south dwellers, shoppers, and visitors of Nuvali Magical Field of Lights. It is...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped for lunch at Nonna's after seeing the sign that said Authentic Italian. Myself being Italian, I had a desire for some good Italian food. I did not expect a dish like my mother and other family made but I did expect more than we were served. I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo and my wife the Italian Panini. I asked that my sauce be made with extra garlic and what I received was questionable. My dish consisted of a small serving of not al dente but semi hard pasta, dry, and with no sign of a sauce and a side of fried garlic. I asked the server for some sauce and received some milk with a pinch of Parmesan cheese. My wife's panini was small ciabatta roll with a very thin slice if some type of deli meat with a few sprigs of arugula that never saw a panini press. The staff was very nice but it is not their responsibility for poor food. If you cannot make Authentic Italian food, do not try to pass this off as Authentic as it is...
