The first thing you'll notice at Cafe Voi La is the beautiful furniture and the warm ambiance. Despite the chill of Tagaytay weather, the décor with its bright colours and brick-a-brack scattered throughout the place invites you to get in and get cosy. Ambiance + Service We ate here on a Friday, and the lunch service was just starting to pick up. The staff were attentive, though the place did start filling up with more people the closer it got to lunchtime. The cafe is huge though, so it looks like they can handle a bustling crowd. Food There were a lot of options, with the menu being a mix of Thai, Vietnamese and Filipino food. We tried the pandan chicken, pad Thai, pizza margherita, fresh Vietnamese spring rolls, squash soup, and pineapple fried rice. I tried everything but the Pandan chicken, but we especially loved how fresh the pizza tasted, and the spring rolls were my favourite. I also tried their ube cheesecake. While tender, it was a little too salty for my taste, but not overly sweet. Price The food is worth the price—for this meal, we forked out about 3,300PHP (for 3 people). All the servings are good for 2-3 people though, except perhaps the soup.

Wow. Excellent way to cap our holy week stay on tagaytay. Delicious food and colorful ambiance. We were accommodated at the veranda with my elderly parents and a dog. We were promptly assisted and seated and jeremy that waiter is like a gliding butler. We were given prawn crackers which was so good we consumed 5 refills Starters We had the senators salad which had smoked salmon with roasted sesame dressing. Yummy Seafood paella which was a bit bland and maumay ka. Thank God for the lemon and the vinegar dip for the kropeck which washed out the umay. The tomato basil tofu soup was on the sweet but clean light side which i liked. Thai halohalo was malaman (kaong, nata de coco, saba) not on the sweet side with hint of gata. We shared. We loved the food. They have a sister restaurant san sebastian where you can order spanish cuisine. PAUL, the roving manager said. They have branches along daang hari Free parking but be careful since sloped and guards are alert to assist. Causes traffic along calamba-tagaytay road. I called the number posted here..maymay answered. No reservation. But we were promptly seated arrived past 1pm.

A hidden gem in Tagaytay! Instead of the usual right turn, we took a left from Sta. Rosa road to explore some new spots. Although this place has been around for a decade, it was our first time visiting—and what a find! The Southeast Asian menu was fantastic, and the staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable about food options and dietary restrictions. We had merienda- Thai Halo-Halo, Sagada Brewed Coffee and Burnt Basque Cheesecake. All well-done. The quirky, cozy vibe gave us a bit of a Salon de Ning feel, which made it even more special. Only drawback was the all-gender bathroom—it could use a bit of improvement. But overall, it was a great experience, and we’ll definitely be back! Shoutout to Carlo, our server, who went above and beyond to make our visit extra enjoyable. The place is pet-friendly as well and will allow to bring inside if the dog is in a carrier.

It was a perfecf night I thought...The food experience is very good for 1st timer like us although serving food is very slow. I ate dinner with family when suddenly a glass of service water on our table fell out & broken into pieces which is by accident by the way. The waiter immediately responded and clean the mess. .I thought everything will be alright then when the bill came in with additional receipt for to the broken glass (actually I anticipated that I might pay the broken glass and did not think it is expensive..) but It was kind surprising when I saw the bill how much the broken glass cost, it's P850?! I told the waiter that it is an accident and I can actually pay but I was really surprise how expensive the glass is, the waiter told me that he will be the 1 to pay If he didnt charge me. I tried talked to Manager to request to waive since it is our first time on this restaurant but there was no sign of hope, the manager insisted that it need to be paid, it is made in Thailand which actually cost more than the charged bill. I told him that they/the restaurant/management should reconsider a cheaper glass to use/serve so any unintended incident of broken glass will not be a burden on customer side who go and eat to relax and have happy moments with family. There should be reminders posted also that customers especially kids must be careful not to break anything inside. Bottomline is, I paid the bill and got the dinner bill receipt but I noticed that they did not give back the receipt for P850 charge for broken glass. They keep on telling me that I have the receipt already but I clarified to them that I have the receipt before and give it back to cashier together with the dinner receipt when I send my card to pay all. I asked them to review the CCTVs to confirm who misplaced the receipt and they just all went back hiding on the kitchen and heard laughing for some reason and for sure I know what they are talking about. I want to keep my cool since it had been a stressful day for me in work. It is passed 10pm last night and It took a while waiting for long time and I asked the waiter to call the manager since they all disappeared and keep me waiting (while my family is waiting too in the car with my baby). The manager appeared and told me that they are reviewing the CCTVs but I asked him that he could just simply give me a new receipt if they misplaced it instead of having me waiting and wasting time and everybodies time. He told me that it is ORd already and cannot make a new one. Then after a while, the manager just gave me a new receipt and did not explain why the original receipt was lost and he just walked away. Are they just waiting for me to leave?

The 2 underlying reasons why I need the broken glass receipt is (1) I plan to send a formal letter to the owner of the restaurant which is a friend of one of my former boss and do recommend improvements related to customer relations and crew/mgt services to attract more customers (2) I wonder why the broken glass receipt disappeared with no reason or alteast formal explanation fr the manager to comfot tge customer. Given they had minimtg that kept me waited for so long and wasted my time. I dont want to speculate but something is not right and smells fishy if they have this regular modus. I observed that a lot of service water glasses is being served and all over the table for group diners. What if most of the customer who broked glasses didnt get their receipts? Do mgt audit the ORs? I think the owner knows what I mean... just to make sure there is internal arrangement being done by the crews and manager.

Anyway,...

Me and my family braved the traffic of Tagaytay just to have a snack at their restaurant. We have a great experience with their food and service the last time we are there. Today it was the complete opposite, when we sat down on our table I notice that their is no proper set up for the table their is no napkin that was provided. We ordered pizza, french fries, club sandwich and drinks. The fries arrive first but it was noticeably very oily and not crispy. Pizza was serve next, but the drinks na inorder namin ay hindi pa na serve. When I followed up my order to other server I was baffled by their reply “Hindi po ako ang naka assign sa table nyo” while asking for a table napkin. “ano- ano po ba ang mga order nyo “ while following up our coffees since we are already halfway on our food and the rudest of them all was when I followed up on our ICE TEAS since the kids are almost finish eating . The server called “uncle “ raise his voice in a passive aggressive manner saying “ Mam hindi ko po alam yan kasi hindi po ako ang kausap nyo”. My gosh, all of that just for following up on our ICE TEAS. In all fairness, the manager was really apologetic with the manners of his staff. Still I feel sorry for the owner of the establishment, Im sure pinaghirapan mo yong reputation ng company nyo tapos sisirain lang ng ilang staff. I’m really hoping that mabasa ito ng management. I think you need to re train your staff on how to handle customers. Mas magaling pa staff ng mga resto sa...

It’s been a while since I made a review, and this cafe/restaurant definitely calls for a raving write up 👌🏻

During instances that I’m in Tagaytay, I don’t typically go to this side of the city since most of the establishments and hotels are on the other side. Glad to have given this side of Tagaytay a try though, as the travel to Cafe Voi La was truly worth it.

Had coffee here after a filling lunch. There were already a number of people and families who were having their meals in the cafe, so it was fortunate that they still had seats for two. They had a variety of coffee options, some were usual while some sounded interesting (eg., Red Eye, Cortado, etc), but opted to order good ole Cafe Sua Da (hot and iced versions).

It’s been a long time since I’ve had Vietnamese coffee, but I am declaring that this is one of the best Cafe Sua Da I’ve ever tasted ☕️ The pairing with a slice of the Tiramisu Cheesecake was perfect—the cake was not that sweet, not too rich that one would get easily satiated—just how I like it 🍰

Service was satistactory. There was this one guy who was extra enthusiastic and accommodated everyone’s requests. Ambiance was bright and eclectic. Slightly too much for me as I prefer modern and minimalist, but it’s allgood.

Had a great time and will definitely be back! Will probably try their other non-dessert food in...
