We had a nice lunch here. The main reason we chose this place is we were promised the service here is fast. This was actually fulfilled because we were served our food in less than 15 minutes. This is actually a very good thing for us since we are a group of people who were in a rush that time so we can't afford an hour waiting for our food.
The place is actually cozy, with basic Tagaytay cabin vibe but more rustic and organic at the same time. There were only a few people when we visited so the parking was not a problem. I emphasize this because most of the time parking is a huge concern in Tagaytay.
The food we ordered are the ribs (2 flavors), sisig and laing. The ribs actually surprised us as we were not aware that the serving will be a lot. We are only 5 that time so ordering this much was too much so we had to take some home.
The laing and sisig which are staple viands in Tagaytay were interpreted here with a more luscious and rich taste. There are some ingredients that I cannot pinpoint but their laing and sisig is quite different from other restaurants in Tagaytay. I would have loved to ask but we cannot stay too long. So maybe next time.
All in all, it was a delicious and hearty...
Read moreCame on a Sunday, Lunch time. Staff was very pleasant, attentive and proactive. Drinks were offered shortly after we sat down. Food was served quickly, coming only around 10mins after we ordered.
Food was great. Ribs were not as tender as I would have liked, but it was seasoned well and the Original sauce was also good. Aside from the ribs, I enjoyed the generous serving of Okoy salad (which was basically a deconstructed version of Okoy). The tanglad-butter vinaigrette (I think) it came with matched perfectly with the fried shrimp and vegetables. The tanglad rice was like a fragrant version of buttered rice.
Bill was around 3000 for a group of 4. We ordered the half ribs, Okoy salad, baked scallops and iced tea. Serving size was decent and we had some leftovers to take home.
Toilets were also very clean and it seems someone was assigned to regularly clean them.
Overall a very good...
Read moreI wanted to try their ribs since the reviews are good and saw this on a youtuber vid... but i don't think its worth the price Menu: overall its expensive 900plus for a half rack or ribs. i think the bulalo was 800? come on lol Ribs: i saw a review "its the most tender", i think that was term. was expecting a fall of the bone kind of thing but nah.. its not. nothing special at all. yes its good but if your price is that high you should be able to back it up.
tender? not even close to a tender casa verde ribs(half the price or more) or not even as tender as a racks ribs which is mainstream or easy to find but damn tender ribs..
i mean i drove kilometers to try this. but i was disappointed. omg add the chorizo rice .. oily rice with no taste and a teeny bit of chorizo
