Sky Ranch Tagaytay, located along the Tagaytay-Nasugbu Highway in Kaybagal South, is a compact 5-hectare amusement park blending thrilling rides with stunning panoramic views of Taal Lake and Volcano. It's a popular family-friendly spot for day trips from Manila, especially during weekends, holidays, or cooler months like November-February. Based on aggregated reviews from TripAdvisor, Yelp, Google, Klook, and recent social media buzz, I'd rate it 4.0 out of 5 stars. It's a solid "good" for casual fun and photo ops, but docked points for crowds, variable staff service, and some upcharges that can feel nickel-and-dimey. It's not a massive theme park like Enchanted Kingdom—think bite-sized excitement with a scenic twist, perfect for 2-3 hours rather than a full day.
Pros: Epic Views: The star attraction is the 55m Sky Eye Ferris Wheel—riders get 360° panoramas of Taal Volcano, especially magical at sunset with cool breezes. Many call it "Instagram gold" and worth the trip alone. Ride Variety: 15+ attractions suit all ages, from kiddie rides (e.g., carousel) to adrenaline hits like Sky Cruiser (coaster), Sky Drop (freefall), and zipline. The Ride-All-You-Can (RAYAC) pass lets you hop on unlimited basics. Family Vibes: Kid-friendly with height minimums (e.g., 1m for most rides), plus games, stalls, and eateries (try bulalo or halo-halo). Groups of 10+ get discounts; birthdays are free entry (show ID). Accessibility: Easy 2-hour drive from Manila via SLEX; big parking lot (though it fills up). Open daily 9 AM-10 PM; no entrance fee—just pay for rides.
Cons: Crowds & Waits: Weekends/holidays mean long lines (30-60 mins) and packed paths—arrive early or midweek to avoid. Some rides lack attendants, forcing waits in the sun. Extra Costs: RAYAC is PHP 550/adult (PHP 400/kid), but thrill rides like Sky Drop add PHP 150-250 each. Food/drinks are pricey (e.g., PHP 200 meals), and everything feels "a bit overpriced" per reviews. Staff & Maintenance: Hit-or-miss—some call them "friendly and helpful," others "unpleasant bots" or unresponsive. Occasional gripes about ride upkeep or weather closures (rainy season hits hard). Size Limits: Not huge, so it can feel repetitive after 2 hours; better as a "relay station" in a Tagaytay itinerary, not the main event.
Tips for Your VisitBest Time: Weekdays or early mornings; avoid Holy Week crowds. Check weather—Tagaytay's chill (15-25°C) demands layers. Budget: PHP 1,000-2,000/person (RAYAC + food/snacks). Book via Klook for deals. Alternatives: If it's too crowded, try Puzzle Mansion or People's Park nearby for calmer views.
Overall, Sky Ranch earns its rep as a Tagaytay must-do for...
Read moreThe most smallest incompetent park in the world.
Unorganised chaotic mess, no real queue and annoying guards shouting inaudible noise. Pay for entrance tickets only to be told when you've bought them, you need to now line up again with your tickets just to get inside the place. All the rides cost extra once inside... Only to then realise you can't go on any of the rides you just paid entrance for, because they failed to mention you also need a bracelet you were never informed about by the moody lifeless ticket sales worm.. enquire about how to get a bracelet, and they will say, preorder online before coming to the park and unfortunately we cannot travel back in time... after you've spent 40 minutes queuing twice to get inside, the ride bracelet you need to do anything then takes another 20 minutes of queuing. Only to find out you can only get one now if you have a mobile phone, if you have decent Internet, then you can attempt to buy a ride pass bracelet, but of course they are most likely to be sold out as well. Absolute chaos! I'm healthy gym goer but still the width of these queues were so tiny, people have to walk sideways!? OK so we need separate tickets now because we werent aware you have to pre purchase ride bracelets online, so can we have the baby roller coaster?
No, Because its not available later today (no explanation given)
There are literally people on the ride now, why not later?
It not available later.
OK CAN WE HAVE Zip line tickets then?
No.
Why!?!
Because u need to go and get them over at the ride.
so not being able to get any proper ride passes and being told the ones we wanted were not available even though people were on them zip line the one thing we came for said not allowed as a little bit of rain Pathetic place
The stupidity of this place is second to none literally. The theme park is not a theme park either it's a bit of astro turf, some outdated games, and a few boring rusty old rides.
To improve this place,
scrap online sales completely or offer all day passes at the entrance, obviously. Not everyone has a phone or net connection.
if you're selling tickets individually, just buy them at each ride... basic common sense.
if you're selling entrance tickets at the entrance... Just let people go through when they have them, instead of making guests queue twice, making them wait double the time...
Read moreWe came here on a Holy Saturday to escape the heat. We didn't purchase our tickets online, thinking we can do it once we got there. That was a decision we regretted later for they only offered entrance and pay-as-you-ride tickets onsite. That was our first disappointment. Why they don't offer all-you-can-ride tickets at the site still boggles our minds. They could sell them onsite even at a higher price, and still allow savings for the park goers. Purchasing tickets for every ride is both time consuming and not economical. The amusement park location is excellent. It is a little cooler, clean, and well-maintained. Some rides are great and some are mediocre to average. The Zipline is the highlight of our visit. Although the cost is a little high, it's worth it. The view up there is breathtaking; the ride is awesome, and the crew is very efficient. A hairnet is included which serves as a barrier when wearing the cap and helmet. We're just a little unsure and worried if they are recycled throughout the day. The Log Coaster is a disappointment for us. It doesn't compare to the roller coasters we're used to. There was no thrill drop, and the turns are so rough they hurt your shoulders, knees, and elbows. The Super Viking gets an A plus. It is both fun and terrifying depending on where you're seated. The Sky Eye is nice, but they should let you ride for 2 revolutions, at a tad bit faster speed. The Bumper Car was another let down. The waiting in line was too long, the ride was short, and the pad was too small. They could use a pad three times the current size. The Drop Tower was average, but it broke down before we could ride the second time. We later learned that they had to resort to emergency measures in order to bring down the riders who were stuck when it failed. The Nitro Drift needs a larger area to drive on, and more speed to the karts, akin to the one in Santa Rosa Vista Mall. The VR 360 is another disappointment. They need to upgrade their headsets/goggles for better resolution, sound and overall quality. We didn't bother with the other attractions, for they didn't look that appealing. We might come back for the Zip Line and...
