The service was horrible. To be fair we were seated very quickly but that was the only good part of our lunch. We order very quickly but the food took so long to come out. The server who took our order seemed new so we patiently waited for him. We even asked him to repeat our order to make sure he got everything. We waited about 30minutes for the first few dishes to come out. We had to follow up our food so many times, even the people who arrived after us got their food first. Apparently the server never put in our order for the pancit lucban so we waited, again.
When it came to paying the bill things got worse. They asked us to check the bill and we told them that we never got the (worth P280). The staff insisted that they brought the dish out. We told them that no dish was brought to our table. The staff seemed to think we were lying, they attempted to interview each staff to see who brought it to our table. We spoke with the chefs and they insisted that it was made and brought out. Again we denied saying we did not ever get the dish. The chefs even offered to make the dish to-go but we declined because we no longer wanted to wait. In the end the cashier seemed to not want to remove the dish from our bill. Out of anger and annoyance we paid the whole bill and stopped arguing.
For P280 worth of food mag sisinungaling ba kami? Mag babayad naman kami, pero wala talagang ensaladang talong na dumating. Bakit pa nila ipapacheck yung receipt if hindi naman sila maniniwala? It was quite unfair and not kind na hindi sila naniwala saamin. We asked them to look at our dishes, none of them had any of the ensaladang talong. We were so excited to try the food and wanted to have a good experience but the service was so bad and food...

Lots of sitting but due to the influx of goers, still not enough. They might consider having an enclosed dining area. The vehicles pass through the dining area to the parking causing dust to be blown to the diners.
Also due to the influx of goers, they have a waiting list which is unorganized. The in-charge tends to skip some of the names on the list, because some of the customers immediately sit if they find a vacant spot. Terrible. The attendants were busy enough that we had to wipe our own table. The owner should also consider peak hours staff assignment as some of them looks exhausted.
Selections in the menu is not confusing. They have a variety of meal bundles to choose from, as well. But we chose Bulalo as what Tagaytay is known for, and we were disappointed with Jaytee’s. We also had ensalada and Lechon De Cavite.
The Bulaga (Bulalo/Nilaga) is great. Meat was tender and the veggies were not overcooked.
The Lechon De Cavite is more of a cebu lechon type. You can smell the aromatics. The skin was still crunchy.
With the ensalada, typical filipino taste. Nothing fancy which is great.
Their ice tea is also a must have. Not the instant ones with a ripped off price.
Overall, I can attest what’s the hype is all about. The food was amazing but not as costly as the other known restaurants in Tagaytay. Cant remember if we were charged with a service fee (10%) which we had in Jaytee’s.
*tip if you find the service...

We had dinner at Chicks ni Otits last Sunday, arriving just before the dinner rush around 6 PM. The place was almost full, but thankfully a table was available so we didn’t have to queue.
First impressions: the ambiance is cozy and laid-back, perfect for a casual meal. Unfortunately, service was where things started to fall short. It took about 15 minutes before someone could take our order—apparently, not all staff were authorized to do so. While the food came out in a reasonable amount of time, getting condiments or extra utensils was a struggle. Requests were passed around between staff until I ended up getting things myself.
What we ordered: • Special Pancit Lucban – Saucy but quite bland. • Relyenong Bangus – Decent, nothing standout. • Sapsuy (Chopseuy) – Overly peppery, not kid-friendly. • Sisig – Surprisingly good! Served the classic way—no mayo or egg, just crispy, flavorful pork. • Beef Kaldereta – Our favorite of the night. Tasted like the kind you’d find at a festive provincial celebration.
Price point: Fair for a Tagaytay-based restaurant, especially given the portion sizes. In terms of value, you get what you pay for.
Final thoughts: Did it live up to the hype? Not quite. It was okay for a one-time try, but the food didn’t stand out enough to make us want to come back. Service needs improvement, and while the dishes weren’t bad, they didn’t offer anything...
