I recently ordered from Tuko Café via GrabFood, spending over ₱1,000 with high hopes based on their appealing menu and positive reviews. Unfortunately, the experience didn't meet my expectations.
Noodle Dishes and Siomai: Underwhelming
The laksa and Korean noodles I received appeared to be made from instant noodle packs, lacking the depth and authenticity I anticipated. Additionally, the siomai meal, consisting of a few pieces of siomai served with rice and egg, was quite basic and didn't offer anything special.
Bibimbap: Missing the Mark
The bibimbap was particularly disappointing. Instead of the rich, distinct flavors typical of Korean cuisine, it featured ground meat and lacked the authentic taste and presentation I was looking forward to.
Value for Money: Questionable
Investing over ₱1,000 for what I believed would be a premium dining experience, I was disheartened to receive meals that didn't align with the café's portrayed standards. The use of instant noodles and the unremarkable siomai and bibimbap dishes raise concerns about the value provided.

Transparency is crucial. Clearly communicating the nature of your dishes helps set accurate expectations and builds trust with your customers. If certain meals are prepared using instant ingredients or deviate from traditional preparations, it's beneficial to disclose this upfront. Additionally, enhancing the quality and authenticity of dishes like the bibimbap could significantly improve customer...
Read moreThe place has vastly improved from the time it first opened. The interiors looked better now, there are more seats, and the staff members are more alert and accommodating. Food and drinks are a bit costly though, even if they don't taste any different from more affordable offerings in other cafes. And speaking of drink, it still uses plastic straws for its cold beverages. This is an issue, especially for a province that's problematic with plastic-waste management. It doesn't have its own restroom too. WiFi...
Read moreI haven't tried their coffees yet, but I like this café due to its tasty meals as well as the soothing ambiance that compliments it. I don't know for sure why this café is named after the scary-looking Philippine gecko, but like a gecko, you'll find yourself “stuck” for this place.
What really fascinated me the most about this café is its very fast wifi. Most cafés barely reaches 20 Mbps, while the wifi here can reach...
