My husband and I love going to Calle Real to get some Filipino Spanish comfort food. The ancestoral house is beautifully preserved. It's both homey and elegant.
We particularly enjoy the crunchy pork binagoongan, lengua Teresa, tokwa sisig, callos, paella jambalaya, sotanghon negra and, most recently, the ginataang santol. We try to order a different dish every visit, and it's always a delightful surprise. The dishes' flavors are well balanced and well thought of. Be prepared to get more rice!
