Craving Japanese food but didn’t want to travel far. Lucky for us, we just took the elevator to the ground floor of the Marcian Garden hotel we were staying at. Met up with my sister’s friends for dinner. Food was good, sushi boat can be improved, I liked the deep fried tofu and shrimp tempura, service definitely is lacking. Imo, they focused more on the “VIP” section but truthfully our group ordered more and our tab was expensive. Not all customers request to be seated in the VIP section even if they can afford to. I’m usually the hot-headed one but I saw my sister losing her patience due to the ineptitude of the wait staff that I just kept silent. We had to remind him time and again about our orders, missing items, drinks not delivered. Desserts we ordered came all the way from the Hermosa Jardin Garden Cafe so the ice cream was melted and blah. Despite all this and the gratuity (tip) automatically added to the bill, my sister still left a sizable amount on the table. 2.5 stars...
Read moreReally surprised when it comes to their food selection! Authentic food and great staff who served our needs! We visited the resto twice in just a span of 6 days. A must try place when you get to have your fill of the usual fast food choices available in any city! A tip though, go half an hour ahead of the usual lunch/dinner time so you can get a better table to dine in.
Kudos to the Staff and Chef! Great taste and great service!
Ordered the Beef Tofu Steak and the you won’t go wrong with the platter choices! Sad that the chicken gyoza was not available on our second visit. Kani Salad is a must!
One thing that needs to be done though, the place needs to be brightened up, the ambiance has a stark difference compared to the main Marcian Hotel...
Read moreCute little restaurant inside Marcian Garden Hotel. The entrance is inside the hotel a bit past their main restaurant.
The serving size of the food was generous. We got their special sushi, the tuna carpaccio, the beef teppan set, and the ramen.
Ramen was good. The special sushi was really good with the tempura flakes mixed with wasabi. Tuna carpaccio was unique in flavor and something different for those looking for a sashimi alternative.
The beef teppan set was very generous in serving and came with two pieces of maki and soup.
The space may look tiny, but theres an area for larger groups and meetings. Inside you could see it has become a favorite spot for business...
