Hamilton Business Inn — Hotel in Zamboanga City

This inn is supposed to be new. I was told that they opened only last year. The lobby might look really welcoming but the rooms doesnt look new at all. In fact, I had to verify from the staff if this building was recently renovated. They said it is actually newly built!||||I also didnt find an elevator in the building. So I guess it is not wheelchair accessible.||||What I liked here is that it is very close to the airport. Jollibee & Chowking is close by. And KFC is only two blocks away. There's also a convenience store near the area.||||We stayed at their Superior Room. Their brochure noted that it will have 1 Queen Size Bed & 1 Single Bed. But I am very happy to know that their "Single Bed" is actually a Twin Bed. Two thumbs up for that.||||However, there's not enough lighting in our room. There were only dim lights at the walls. I think this is perfect for those who wish to stay here simply for resting (i.e. sleeping) from whole day of activities.||||But we went to Zamboanga City to attend a party. Because there were no proper lighting in the room, I cannot put on my makeup there. So this is a big factor to consider for some.||||However, their Suite Room is nice. It has a perfect view of the airport runway. I think their Suite Rooms are the only rooms with windows here.||||Please note that that because this inn is located adjacent to the airport, the airplanes coming in and out tends to be really noisy.||||Although, personally, I do not find this annoying as there were not too many flights in their airport anyway.||||Lastly, this inn supposedly serves breakfast. But when we were there, they didn't have them available...

Visited hamilton for the 3rd time. My last visit was way back in 2015 and i have to say, the hotel really deteriorated alot since then.||First up, the pros|Big room|you can wash your clothes in bathroom|Near airport|Friendly staff.||Sadly thats all the good things i could say||Cons|Noisy|Rooms smell moldy|Insects crawling in the rooms (small roaches)|Weak wifi signal|Busted lights in the room|Rooms are dark and damp|Sheets are smelly|Tables are dusty. They dont even wipe it despite my request for room cleaning!|Bathroom tiles are damaged|Toilet bowl had no seat cover|Had to request a room transfer because the first room they were trying to give me was just not acceptable to say the least. It looked more like a stockroom rather than a hotel room.||Its sad that this hotel was not maintained properly. It would have been a good and decent hotel but there was just too much negligence on the owners or manager for...

The only things good about the place is that it is near the airport (for one night stays/transits) and the friendliness of the receptionist and staff. Other than that, i'm afraid to say, seek other hotels if you could. The room where I stayed in on the 2nd floor had a moldy smell and the sheets also smelled like they were unchanged. There were bugs on the sink and the shower curtain was moldy too. Due to the hotel's proximity to the airport (the fenced runway is right across the road), you can hear planes taking off/landing on the runway at night making it even more difficult to sleep. ||There was supposedly free wi-fi in the rooms but I could not access it. ||No airport transfers offered but you can take a tricycle. ||I didn't order any food from the restaurant so I could not...
