Tom's Diner Restauracja & Bar — Restaurant in Gdynia

I'm not one usually down for an American Diner type place, however it was ridiculously hot, we needed a drink if nothing else... but having sat and looked at the menu we decided to eat. The staff wereexceptionally hospitable, seemed to be comfortable with younger visitors. The theme of the place was as you might expect, something reminiscent of happy days style diner tjough yhe seating eas incredibly comfy. Now the food.. these days it seems to be cool to stack burgers into an inedible tower that disintegrates into a mess on the plate and dripping down your arm, however these guys have it just right! It could be held comfortably, did not slip and slide as I bit into it, and it tasted mouthwateringly delicious coupled with scooper type chips with seasoning that wasnt too over the top, and the homemade style lemonade was the perfect accompaniment to wash it all down. I extend my gratitude to Tom's Diner for doing the humble 'burger' justice, and should I venture back to Gdynia any time soon, it will definitely be a place I venture to by choice. Food here is very nice we did enjoy the food but unfortunately the male waiter we had totally let the place down, he was in so much of a rush (the place wasnt overly busy), he misheard our drinks order we asked for a soft drink but he gave us a jack daniels and coke, when we asked the other waited if he could sort this we got told it wasnt him who made the drink and went and told our original waiter, he then very rudely approached our table and accused us of ordering the jack daniels and coke! The for the whole evening he would not give us any service our food arrived didnt get asked if we would like any sauce or another drink! We finished our meal and he continued to avoid us even by cleaning tables that wasnt used. In the end we had to approach the bar to get the bill so we could pay without even being offered desert!

The waiter made us feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome.

I totally think this restaurant was my WORST WORST experience in Gdynia. We ordered a salmon that is supposed to be 200 grms weigth, but it was maybe 100 grms or less, terrible presentation, too much oily and the salad was worst than one you can get it in a kebab's fast food truck, maybe they gave us the rest of salad they didn't sell during the day. Also we ordered a BBQ hamburger that was sunked in sauce, terrible taste and presentation. I THINK, they stole my money beacuse almost I paid 90 słoty for nothing. DON'T GO THERE...they don't know anything about american food, maybe the chef needs some gourmet classes. I recommend you ALEJA 40 restaurant that is great place and excelent food and you can find a better menu and good excelent...
