Pierogi Świata — Restaurant in Katowice

My colleague recommended this place as I had in mind to try something typical traditional polish and pierogi are the best choice. This place is small only 13 tables so when I came there around 1pm it gets crowded quickly. The variety of pierogi is big you can choose from vegetarian version, meat lovers have big choice and sweet version for sweet tooth or kids. Option is 6 pieces of 1 type, or you can ask for mix of your own choices or 3+3 or 2+2+2 so I chose 2 cheese, 2 meat fried and 2 sweet pierogi. The waiting time during lunch is approx 20min but meanwhile you can try some homemade lemonade or non alcoholic beer from local Brewery....when the meal came it was separated in to plates as they don't mix sweets with sour flavours...taste of my choices was great and portion is big enough to finish if you are hungry otherwise you will make the leftover for take away 😋 serving lady was nice and polite...so I can also recommend...

So far, the best pierogis I've ever eaten in Poland. They have gazillion types (from different countries) of these European dumplings.

The filling of the pierogis is very generous, taste is good and the atmosphere of the restaurant is cozy. It seems that they will only make your pierogis after you order. The dough of the skin tasted fresh, not frozen. The wait staff (who seems like the owners themselves) are friendly and gave good recommendation. Limited English though, but it's not a problem, the menu has English description.

We visited this place as we were in holiday in Katowice and it was amazing.

Entering the small restaurant, you just feelt welcome because of the furniture and the atmosphere inside there.

As we sat down we were asked about what we want to drink and as we decided what to eat we had a few questions (cause it was our first time eating pierogis) which were answered very friendly.

The pierogis just tasted amazing and as there were even two older persons, we could imagine that this is an very authentic restaurant. If we will visit Katowice again, we will visit again cause of this...
