JOHN BURG — Restaurant in Kielce

Food was amazing! They make their own buns in house and cook the burgers to your liking. They have craft beer and amazing chips! Only issue was that their sizing of the burgers was confusing. They used the English letters for the sizes (m) for medium (L) for large and (XL) for extra large. We asked for M- medium burgers for both of us. Then additionally when asked how we wanted it cooked we choose also for medium (as medium rare). This was all done in polish by my wife- however she said medium as ‘sredni’ as translating the menu: medium= sredni. It was our first visit so when the burgers came we thought they were M- medium but the waitress confused medium for the middle size instead of how we would liked it cooked (even though she asked this and took it down). We were surprised to be charged for a large … the waitress said that M means ‘maly’ which didn’t make sense as if M is maly, why there is no Ś for ‘sredni’ and D for ‘duzy’… or maybe XD for Xtra Duzy…? and then the manager didn’t seem happy when we said it was confusion over the ordering system and they shouldn’t use English letter for the sizes because wise it confuses the waitresses. We asked to pay for the size of the burger we asked for. It was not a major difference but it wasn’t our fault and we were made to feel like we had done very thing on purpose and we’re trying to cheat them. Please make your size notation easier for your wait staff and customer to understand. On the polish language menu use polish letters to represent the sizes to avoid any future confusion (especially for new customers who never eat your burgers before…)

Other than that. It was a great place to eat. Would be 5 stars but 1 star less for confusing menu (just make the choice if you want to use English or Polish abbreviation for sizing or both separately for Polish and English menu) and 1 star less for customer and manager approach at the beginning when we tried to explain that we have been overcharged and we felt like we are a nuisance to him and we should not...

Unfortunately, I had to update my experience with John Burg as it was my second time with such unpleasant experience. I am very particular with burgers and I cannot deny that John Burg is definitely the best burger place in Kielce! Burgers are something I really enjoy and always strive to find the best place wherever I am in the world, and glad that the place I live in now has some best burger joint! Located at the mall that I did not expect much but they definitely blew my mind with how well they have cooked my burger to perfection! However, for my first visit, the customer service was quite poor that I couldn't give a five-star rating. Unfortunately, I am not certain whether it was because I was a foreigner, the waitress was very poor when it came to service. Constantly came to ask if I was finished when I was not nor my fellow colleagues had plate full of food. Also, the restaurant was empty at that time that I did not understand her behavior along with serving my second drink way later. If it was not for the poor customer service, I would have visited this place more often. Then the second time I have visited, I was charged for something I did not have. The first time I was there, I was over charged with something I did not have, and as seen in the video, I did not have any chips and I was still overcharged, once again with the chips I never had. I have pointed out and my friends were wondering why my bill was higher than their's when I ate less. I told the cashier, and she still charged me the amount that...

Jako że miejscówka pewnie wzbudza zainteresowanie bo jest nią sam JOHN BURG dlatego opis troszkę dłuższy i bardziej szczegółowy :). Zamówiony został JB BBQ BRGR z dodatkowym serem, frytkami i sosem koperkowym (30).

Najważniejsze czyli mięso - tutaj niestety dosyć słabo. Poprosiłem o średnio wysmażone a dostałem raczej mocno. Co dziwne było ono również nierówno zrobione - na końcu kotleta było twardawe. Do gustu również nie przypadła mi struktura mięsa, które było takie strasznie "zbite" - pewnie to charakterystyczne dla tego rodzaju, jednak mi nie podeszło. Natomiast bułka na duży plus. Dodatków nie za wiele a i burger do największych nie należy - zdecydowanie najeść się nie można. Frytki niestety zupełnie mi nie podeszły. Takie ani grube ani chude, słabo wysmażone i ogólnie mimo lekko chrupiącej skórki wydawały się takie "mączyste" - zdecydowanie nie polecam. Sos koperkowy okazał się czosnkowo-rzodkiewkowy z dodatkiem koperku.

Na plus dostajemy zawieszkę, z którą idziemy do kasy, nie musimy czekać na kelnerkę aż podejdzie żebyśmy mogli uregulować rachunek fajny wystrój wnętrza krótki czas podania, mimo że w trochę ludzi było w środku

Na minus kiedy chciałem zapłacić niestety przy kasie (która jest przy wyjściu) nikogo nie było i już zwątpiłem czy to prawidłowa droga płatności. Dopiero po paru minutach poszedłem zapytać o co chodzi i pani podeszła. Moim zdaniem jak już robimy taki system to kasa powinna być obsadzona cały czas. jedyna dostępna wersja pepsi/coli (nie pamiętam której z nich) to pojemność 0,2 za 6zł. Zawsze hejtuję knajpy, które sprzedają te śmieszne napoje na dwa łyki i nie ma możliwości wyboru niczego większego do mojego burgera z menu kelnerka od razu powiedziała żebym dołożył sera (+2 zł) bo go w tym burgerze niestety nie ma a będzie super - no to jak tak super to dawajcie go normalnie a nie za dopłatą

Moja ogólna ocena całości to 6/10 i oczywiście polecam samemu...
