First of all, let me start by saying that the food is okay, the atmosphere is good and the location is amazing. Now, I unfortunately have some complaints to address.
1- The cheese platter we ordered made us chuckle when it arrived, as upon looking at it we realized that they were charging a steep price for a few pieces of cheese, in which the good cheese only came in 2 small pieces of each and were covered by breadstick in what seemed like an attempt to disguise it.
2- If you speak Polish, it is worth going to this place, but if you do not speak Polish simply do not bother. The issue is not the difference in language at all. The issue my husband and I faced is that the waitress ommitted that the bread was supposed to be included with the Tartar dish, therefore we ordered an extra bread portion. She would have definitely over charged us if she had not accidentally told my husband, later on in the evening, that the tartar should come with the bread already, and when my husband questioned (in Polish) why she had not said that before she got embarassed and simply said she would correct our bill. The only reason I had an okay service at this place is because my husband is a Pole, as a tourist who does not speak Polish I can truly say I would never come back there as it is not...
Read moreBeing drawn by beef tenderloin at a reasonable price (+/- 90 PLN) and the fact that it's located in a 5 star hotel I've decided to try it.
After finding out inside isn't pretty and warmer than outside I decided to sit on the terrace.
Tenderloin with pepper sauce, baked potatoes, asparagus and a "spring salad":
I've asked for 56° core temperature which is about medium rare. The steak was small I think about 120g Only inner 20% weren't severely overcooked (it was way more grey than it looks on the photo) little inner part might have been 56 but I think closer to 60. It was the toughest tenderloin I've had; clearly low quality beef. Don't remember if it was salted properly but I think it was on the low end which shouldn't be a problem combined with salty pepper sauce which was salty but decent.
Potatoes were well baked but salt was on the low end.
Asparagus seemed to have been baked for 20 minutes...
After taking a bite of each thing mentioned I didn't try the spring salad and left without paying which I don't recall having done recently.
5 star hotel should have way...
Read moreI am very impressed and glad I had a chance to try such delicious food here. Finally, me and my wife tried full setup (starters, main dish and dessert) and everything was on the top level - beautifully served and marvellous in taste.
Service level - the best in town. Always helpful stuff, very pleasant and in place when you think you need something. Climate - awesome. Great selection of beautiful songs with unusual arrangements that fit to the atmosphere.
This will be my first choice for special occasions. I am sure I will return here many times in the future to try...
