Under the Black Cat — Restaurant in Poznan

A real shame on my second visit (last time was much busier too) to Under the Black Cat. Arrived five minutes early for my reserved table, sat down and was not approached by a waiter or waitress for the entire time (50mins) I was there. Tried to get attention of waiter, but was completely blanked and ignored on numerous occasions, finally after 45 minutes I went into the restaurant to see if I could perhaps order a beverage (it was quite warm sitting outside without a nice cold drink) - I was told by the same rude waiter someone would come to serve us, but again was ignored. The waiter even went to the tables around us and served them but ignored my table.

A real real shame because the last time the service and food and wine was excellent and we came with a large table who paid a large bill with a tip that first time. I have no doubt my friends group will not return after this dreadfully...

My previous experience with Under the Black Cat was great. It is disappointing to receive such a contradicting treatment this time. We had a table reservation for 6pm and showed up on time. There was noone who cared to help us find the table.the restaurant wasn't too busy. However, noone came to ask for the order, even though we took three attemps to come inside and ask for their help. The staff passed by us multiple times, without caring the world for our table. Rocznicowa kolacja 17.09 Kelnerka podała 1 z 2 dań bez jakiejkolwiek informacji o tym, że zapomniała zlecić przygotowanie drugiego posiłku do kuchni. Po 20 minutach od podania flammkuchen poprosiliśmy kelnerkę do stolika. Dopiero na pytanie co się dzieje kelnerka przyznaje się do błędu. Sytuacja była na tyle nie zręczna że musieliśmy dzielić się posiłkiem nie wiedząc co dzieje się z drugim daniem, a można było tego łatwo uniknąć informując nas o problemie. Druga kelnerka, podając się za menadżerkę zasugerowała że jest to nasza wina bo nie przypomnieliśmy że zamówiliśmy 2 posiłki dla 2 osób... Obie panie postawiły nas w nieprzyjemnej sytuacji i nie potrafily z niej wyjść z klasą. Żadna wizyta w szanującej się restauracji nie powinna tak wyglądać. Flammkuchen był podany z prawie surowym i tłustym boczkiem, zepsuło to smak...
