My mother had put this restaurant on our •go to list• while visiting Poland from America. After we ordered we waited over 20 minutes for our dishes, when we noticed a table of 3 who sat down 10 minutes after we got there who already had food coming out, and we were still sitting there with nothing. We had ordered one of the same items, the Croque Madame, and a different item from them, a Twaróg, which is basically toast with cheese. We asked about our food and the waitress was combative when asked about where our food was and why those people received their food even though they came after us. She said some food takes longer, but as I mentioned there were more people and they had more complex dishes or the same as ours. Also, the wait staff kept glancing over rudely at my mom before the whole ordeal as well, and so the waitresses unapologetic demeanor made things worse. She did offer to wrap the food up to go and that it was coming out in 5 minutes, but my stomach was in knots from the arguing back and forth and dealing with her really poor customer service skills. We were so hungry and tired before we got there too, because we spent a lot of time cleaning our family members graves, but waiting for food 20 min + 5 with arguing, is a long time when the restaurant was empty. I’ve never caused a scene in my life in a restaurant. I feel embarrassed. I also feel embarrassed that I paid the full bill for food I did not eat. I had such a bad taste left in my mouth after the back and forth, how could someone eat after that, especially food from someone who clearly dislikes you? I wanted to write a personal email to the manager instead of a review, but I did not see anything on the website. In short, please hire more professional people who take their job seriously, that are polite to guests, and know how to right a wrong. I work in customer service as well and I know how hard it is, so I have empathy.. but she didn’t have an ounce of true care/empathy and it’s a shame. Also, if food does take a long time to make give a warning or have someone come check up on guests ever so often, that would be appropriate. I’m sorry the negative review...
Read moreI visited Parlé Pâtisserie in Poznań this morning with a friend for brunch and it was wonderful. At first the place looks quite small, but once inside you immediately feel the warm and friendly atmosphere from both the staff and the guests.
The food was excellent – fresh baguettes, delicious pastries, and a nice variety for a relaxed brunch. One of the staff members had forgotten to add the extra salmon I ordered, but later she brought it over and told me it would be free of charge. Such a kind and professional gesture that made the experience even better.
Overall, everything was perfect – tasty food, cozy vibe, and great service. I definitely recommend Parlé Pâtisserie and will be coming...
Read moreWe took the falafel and royal eggs dish. First off this is our 2nd time being there and we really enjoyed the place the first time. But to be honest the falafel wasnt good at all. The labneh did not taste like anything close to Labneh. It was just some other made up cheese/yogurt. As a person coming from the middle east this was offensive. The falafel were small and not enough(only 2). Furthermore, i had to eat the remaining labneh with a fork. I think adding bread would be ideal for such a plate or more falafel. The royal eggs were fine but nothing special. Overall experience was okay but i would not order the falafel or royal eggs if i...
