WIET BOX — Restaurant in Szczecin

Had a hotpot craving in Szczecin and finally found it here. Read a review from a Malaysian reviewer saying that the food here was legit and indeed it was.

I’m Singaporean and have been missing Asian food so much - this place was a godsend.

When you step in, you’ll see 4 woks on full flame. The wokhey (smell and smokiness of the wok fried food) is insane.

Tastewise, this is legit Vietnamese hotpot. They’ve even got beancurd skin and fishballs! I want to know their fishball supplier cos mama here need me some fishballs! Only issue was that the solid fuel didn’t last long and needed to be refilled constantly.

They had the usual westernized-asian dishes like deep fried fish/chicken in some creamy sauce and rice. Tasted okay. But do yourself a favor and try the wok fried items.

Do Wiet Box'u udaliśmy się rodzinnie z polecenia. Niestety była to raczej nasza pierwsza i ostatnia wizyta. Na jedzenie czekaliśmy ponad 45 minut, gdyż zapomiano o nas. Po 30 minutach udaliśmy się do obsługi z pytaniem ile jeszcze będziemy czekać. Okazało się, że na urządzeniu, które restauracja wydaje nie naklejono nam numerka, przez co najzwyczajniej nas olano. Po podaniu posiłków, które były duże i ładnie wyglądały - kaczka po chińsku, kaczka slodko kwasna, chrupiący kurczak slodko kwaśny oraz Pad Thai z krewetkami, okazało się, że Pad Thai jest niejadalny, był bardzo przesolony, nawet woda nie pomogła, z kolei z ryżu z kurczakiem slodko kwasnym córka wyciągnęła kawałki folii. Siedzieliny na piętrze, w kuchni chyba coś poszło nie tak, bo nagle zrobiło się straszne zadymienie aż oczy piekły. Jakby tego było mało.. wisieką na torcie jest Pani krzykaczka, za barem, którą słychać w całym lokalu. Zdecydowanie...
