Fit Cake to go Warszawa Bemowo — Restaurant in Warsaw

Over the years this place has been many things, none of them seem to last but I think this just might…

I’m from England, and so I’m not particularly picky when it comes to cakes, it would have to be really bad for me to not like it, and over the years I’ve tried all types of cakes from gluten free, egg free to sugar free and traditional lard cakes.

I purposefully gave myself a week of no sugar going into this taste test as I wanted to have adjusted my pallet.

My opinion?

AMAZING.

First the freshness of the cakes combine with the ingredients all working together on the tongue to make each bite a genuinely pleasurable experience which you’ll want to share with family or friend’s.

I’ve been back and forth to Poland for years and this has been my favourite cake by far, among all the makowiec, and Serniks which I love, these are still better - you really need to try this place!

I spoke in English and there were no issues, I felt comfortable that I could discuss any diet requirements with the cashier and did not feel pressured.

I think recent negative reviews are from people who eat sugar all of the time, if you’ve just stuffed your face with a KitKat then you’re not going to pick up the complex & delicate flavours from these cakes.

My only negatives would be..

The price is too much, I’d never drop £4+ on a slice of cake in England - those prices would make eyes water

The place is too hot, you can see the peanut butter splitting and creating a film of oil - I would not buy these.

I know we are now in the months where Polish people believe that a minute in the cold will bring death upon you but for those of us with warm blood and outside sitting area would...

Zadziwiają mnie te pozytywne opinie, bo w życiu nie jadłam gorszego ciasta niż z tej cukierni. Wzięłam po kawałku dwóch różnych ciast z kremem. O ile ten krem był zjadliwy to reszta… Biszkopty to był jakiś dramat. Nawet nie wiem jak opisać ten smak. W jednym smakował jak suchy chleb, a w drugim jak karton wymieszany z fusami z kawy. Jestem totalnie zawiedziona, bo ucieszyłam się, że w okolicy otworzyła się cukiernia z wegańskimi opcjami. Niestety po tym doświadczeniu wątpię, że tam wrócę. Tym bardziej, że ceny nie są małe, co jak najbardziej rozumiem ze względu na składniki, ale szkoda, że cena (prawie 50zł) nie była adekwatna do smaku. Jedynie Pani przy ladzie...

Kupiliśmy 2 ciasta: malinowe - samo ciasto mega suche w smaku, nasączone - powstaje nieprzyjemna, niezjadliwa tekstura, masa malinowa poprawna; wegańskie jagodowe - ciasto kakaowe u podstawy to jakiś żart, czegoś tak niedobrego dawno nie jadłem, masa na agarze po prostu niedobra, krem jagodowy ok. Całość wypada bardzo słabo. Za dwa spore kawałki zapłaciliśmy ponad 40zł - rozczarowujące, gdy jedyną jadalną częścią ciasta jest krem owocowy i warstwa kremu kokosowego.
