UPDATE : After the restaurant said I shall reach out via Mail, I did it and I received NO ANSWER. I even followed up, and again, no reply. Two weeks have passed, and no one is reaching out. I will update the case if something new should come up.
My wife and I placed a sushi order worth €55 and added a €5 tip for the courier. The delivery was scheduled to arrive between 23:05 and 23:22. However, it wasn’t delivered by Wolt but directly by the restaurant. Unfortunately, we received no notification—neither via the app nor a phone call—that the courier was on their way.
At 22:50, I received the first and only call from the courier, followed two minutes later by a call from the restaurant. I missed both calls. At 23:00—eight minutes after the last call and five minutes before the earliest expected delivery time—I checked my phone, saw the missed calls, and called back immediately. I then tried calling 10 more times, but no one picked up. To this day, I haven’t received any response from the restaurant.
I contacted Wolt support, who later informed me that the restaurant claimed the courier waited 20 minutes before giving up on the delivery. That doesn’t make any sense—especially considering I called back within 10 minutes of the first call and was already on my way down to the street, where I waited an additional 15 minutes.
Today, the story suddenly changed: instead of 20 minutes, the restaurant now claims the courier waited “up to 10 minutes” and insists that they’re entitled to cancel the delivery and deny a refund.

Raw and cooked items should always be packaged separately to ensure freshness and safety - this is a basic standard in sushi delivery. Brilliant take-away sushi place with high-quality produce.
