The cafe is based near Porthcurno beach, a good place to get some respite from what can be a busy beach. There is a carpark next to the cafe, obviously busy so take time to find a place. The road leading to the cafe can get congested as it goes to the theatre. The ice cream comes in a range of flavours; vanilla, salted caramel and cookies and cream. Even though I bought a scoop they were generous and filled a whole cone. The cream tea came fresh, with an option of a coffee or tea. The food was a good refresher from walking along the beach and up the steps.

Great little café just up from Porthcurno Beach. We had a steak pasty, chocolate cake, a vanilla latte and a mocha – all delicious. The pasty was the best I had in Cornwall, perfectly crumbly, juicy and full of flavour. The chocolate cake was moist and rich, and the coffee was really good. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We sat outside and enjoyed the view of the cliffs while watching cars tackle the tricky single lane road. A lovely spot to relax in the sun with some tasty food and drinks. Definitely worth stopping by if you're visiting the beach.

I ordered Cream Tea after visiting The Minack Theatre. This Cafe is on the way back to Porthcurno Car Park. The place is very cozy with outside seating. I’d say that their scone is unlike others that I’ve tried so far. It is soft and not crumbly which I felt is better (this is just my preference and I am not at all an expert about scones). Their cream tea is £6.50 which includes 1 scone, clotted cream, jam, pot of tea with milk.

An over-priced cafe, with an extremely misleading menu. What was described as a flatbread with various vegetables was simply a small rectangular vegetable pizza from frozen for £8.50. After my mum took two bites of this pizza, she decided to speak to the staff. When I overheard the conversation, the manager was rude and extremely condescending towards her. She was unsympathetic and suggested she bought another item if she disliked it. When my mum mentioned it was also cold, the manager listed off reasons why this was impossible, ignoring any other comments my mum politely tried to discuss. As this was a lunch I was treating my mum to, I decided to try to speak to the staff instead. I suggested to the waitress I should speak to the manager about my issue as this was who my mum spoke to. Instead, she said she could help - I explained again it was really not as described and I was surprised another item wasn’t offered when my mum took it back (or even discounted to purchase something else). The waitress insisted it was a flatbread but agreed she would be disappointed by it too, but because my mum ate half of it there was nothing they could do. I explained she absolutely did not eat half, which she then argued back saying it was half in a rude manner (I was shocked by her manner towards me). I asked to speak to the manager and she replied that she was busy and I would have to wait. The waitress then proceeded to go to the kitchen complaining about me to the manager which I overheard, which in itself is incredibly shocking. I waited a while but it was clear the manager was going to continue to ignore me. Don’t waste your time going to this place, walk on by and...

Fairly nice area but the service was mediocre and the food was worse.

Service staff were friendly enough but customers had to collect their food in a noisy environment which meant most missed their call and the staff had to come out anyway.

The food came wrapped as if for takeout rather than on plates which resulted in receiving a cream tea.. in a cardboard box. The scone actually tasted quite good and was soft and moist, however there was only jam enough for one side and cream (which also was only OK) enough for three or four!

As for the veggie pasty, bland, bland, pepper, bland. The pastry was more like bread, chewy and lacking all buttery-ness and the filling was less vegetable, more potato with black pepper and some red peppers and onion thrown in as an afterthought. At least it was warm

Tea was nothing special, if you like it very strong you'll be happy but it was just a Yorkshire teabag in a takeaway cup.

Food 2 stars because the scone tasted nice. Service, passable. Atmosphere, good, but I wouldn't pay to go there again. No, I would bring a packed lunch and sit on the other side...

Having seen several interesting items on their online menu, we walked in last week hoping for a big vegan breakfast. Immediately found the atmosphere flatlining. Barely a smile from one girl behind the counter then barely a hello from the girl who came out from the kitchen, we were interrupting her, clearly. "Sorry".. . I gave a friendly greeting but that had no effect. I forgot my glasses and couldn't make out the chicken scratch on the board above the counter, so I asked what breakfast items there were.."bacon, eggs.." I specified vegan and she said, "salad??" so I walked out. I was so angry I cried, they saw this, commented loud enough for me to hear from the outside and then laughed. -_- So she was either anti-tourist, anti-vegan and/ or just plain anti- being awake. . I wrote someone at the email address provided on the website sharing what I have here and haven't heard back. And nothing has gone to spam. Great customer service-1 "'Team' Porthcurno 'Beach' Cafe"- 0 They can get away with this because of LOCATION. It should be a crime in the...
