Peixe na Costa — Restaurant in Ílhavo

If you're in Praira da Costa Nova this is the place you should eat fish, a perfect little restaurant in the back streets of the town❣️ I wanted to invite my husband to a nice dinner on this evening so we googled a few restaurants and decided on one restaurant because of the nice view. But the posh looking Bronze Seafood & Lounge Bar didn't accept us because of our dog (I'd say more because we didn't look posh at all) and after getting very wet from a sudden rain shower we've seen this place and asked if we can sit outside with our dog who is a very well behaved middle size "Muffin". Eventhough they had a "no dog" sign as well he welcomed us with a very nice smile and served us the most delicious fish dishes we've ever eaten in our life. And nice wine too. Everything was tip top quality. We'd eat there every evening if our budget...

Best Bacalhau (cod fish) I ever had. It was so tasty, cooked with loads of olive oil and postatos. I simply can’t say how tasty it was. Also the desert Natas do ceu was super delicious! Service is very slow cause they cook everything from scratch to make it as fresh as possible. So be patient cause the waiting is worth. The lady from the cashier, I think she is the manager was very helpful, most of staff were also very friendly. Just taking off one start cause one gentleman that serves the table was in a bad mood, hopefully was a once-off thing.. also prices are a bit high. But on the average the experience was...

We biked here from the center of town to check out Costa Nova and found this lunch spot. It did not disappoint. At first the prices seemed steep for Portugal, but I thought it was justified. We ordered a mixed seafood (it's their house specialty) for two people (€45) and a half bottle of Chardonnay (€6) to help cool off. The seafood was incredibly flavorful and we'll cooked. And the portion was huge. We each got 2.5 rounds to finish this huge bowl of seafood. It reminded me of Bouillabaisse (I've only tried them in California) and this is by far the best I've had. Friendly staff and a nice spot....
