I recently had the pleasure of enjoying lunch at Alfarroba, and as a dedicated vegan, I was absolutely delighted with the experience.

From the moment I walked in, I could sense the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The restaurant's cozy and inviting ambiance immediately set the stage for a memorable midday meal.

The lunch menu was a true vegan paradise! There were so many options to choose from, each offering a unique twist on plant-based cuisine. Whether you're a long-time vegan or just curious about trying vegan food, you'll find something to love here.

For my lunch, I ordered the Tempeh burger, and it was a flavor explosion! The blend of spices and fresh ingredients showcased the chef's creativity and commitment to quality.

The portion size was perfect for a satisfying lunch without feeling overly full. What truly impressed me about Alfarroba was their dedication to using locally sourced and organic ingredients. Knowing that my meal was not only cruelty-free but also environmentally conscious made the lunch even more enjoyable.

The staff was attentive and knowledgeable about the lunch menu, which helped me make some tough choices given all the tempting options. They were more than happy to accommodate dietary preferences and allergies, ensuring everyone at the table had a delightful lunch experience.

In summary, Alfarroba is a vegan gem that exceeded my expectations for lunch in every way. Whether you're a vegan enthusiast or simply looking to explore plant-based dining, I highly recommend giving their lunch menu a try. You won't be disappointed!

I can't wait to return and savor more of their delectable lunch offerings. Kudos to the chef and the entire team for creating such a remarkable vegan dining experience during...

With only three 100% vegan places to eat in Albufeira, and having already eaten in ‘Veggie Momi’ - which I’d recommend - we tried Alfarroba Cafe.

This is not like your normal vegan restaurant of cafe which generally focus on home cooked or vegan junk food. The Alfarroba Cafe prides itself on zero processed food using cooked and raw organic, locally sourced ingredients - focussing on Macrobiotic Philosophy, their menu results in nutritious, balanced and energy-rich meals, made with whole grains, vegetables and legumes.

We went for the set menu which include tea, soup and main course for €11 per person.

Tea served in a glass was Pennyroyal and Bella Louisa which was really good. Never having had Pennyroyal, it was a treat and I’d have it again. Soup was a Japanese Miso. It had depth of flavour was nicely cooked veg but it lacked any punch or heat. Perfect for someone who likes plain soup. The main was Feijoada, which is one pot of black beans and vegetables, served with brown rice, steamed vegetables, pickled red cabbage and salad. It cooked to perfection. The veg had bite, the cabbage a nice tangyness, salad was fresh and the nutty rice was sticky and moresish. We both felt the Feijoada was lacked flavour and seasoning. Seasoning and hot sauce were available so it’s our fault we never asked for them.

All in all a great place if what you want is a really healthy option. It was a great offering for only €11 too.

Would I go back - Yes.

Visited here for lunch. The waiter explained the menu very well as we hadn’t visited before. He explained how everything is made without refined sugar, preservatives amongst other things and is made with local produce which was lovely to know. It appeared to be mostly locals dining here which filled me with some confidence. My partner and I shared a tempeh burger and humous wrap. Both were delicious. The tempeh in the burger had great flavour and texture, paired with caramelised onions and the local bread it was divine. The humous wrap had a delicious flavour and texture. For dessert we had the hazelnut tiramisu and chocolate peanut biscuit cake. Both were delicious with balanced flavours and they had the right sweetness level. I would recommend visiting here to enjoy a delicious, fresh, and balanced meal with excellent service. We will definitely be visiting again during our stay in the...

Amazing vegan cafe. Staff were really accomodating and informative, they explained each item on the menu and how the ingredients were sourced locally. They were clearly very passionate about their food. The burger was incredible along with the lime and coconut pie which was probably the best thing we had. It was well worth the 45 minute drive! As we arrived late we missed out on the dishes of the day so will definitely be coming back to try them. They were also able to swap out the pasta in the salad for gluten free rice pasta. The menu was very reasonably priced considering the quality of the ingredients. Highly recommended :D
