My Portugal Experience by OCVillas — Hotel in Albufeira

Unfortunately, our experience at this accommodation was very negative. From the very beginning, we encountered multiple issues. We were not given physical keys, but rather a 4-digit code that did not match the mailbox, which only accepted 3 digits. We were traveling with an elderly person of 88 years, and we spent over two hours trying to locate the keys without success.

We attempted to contact the owner through every possible means: phone calls, WhatsApp messages, and even through Booking, but at no point did we receive a response from the property owner or anyone responsible for the accommodation.

By sheer luck, we noticed that one mailbox was slightly open, and thanks to that, we were able to find the keys. Had it not been left ajar, we honestly don’t know how we would have entered.

Once inside, the apartment did not meet even the most basic expectations. There was a serious lack of natural light, especially in the kitchen, which was also very small and uncomfortable for daily use. We also found ants, which is completely unacceptable in a holiday rental. To make matters worse, the bathrooms had no lighting at all.

In summary, it was a very disappointing stay. With all due respect, I believe this accommodation does not meet the minimum standards of guest service or comfort. I sincerely hope this review helps improve the experience for...

Sadly not a positive experience with this company. We had issues on the first day. The handle on the patio door kept falling off, apparently it had been reported but no one came to fix it the 12 nights we were there. Issue with ants in the downstairs toilets. Cock.roaches coming in under the door from the garage into the laundry room. We purchased sprays and left them, hopefully following guests used these. Extremely tired villa. The lounge area with the tv had garden furniture, to use not comfortable at all. I could go on with other issues we experienced. We used ubers to go to town or the marina, which were cheap and necessary if you do not have a car. Please look around first before you book with this company. I shall avoid this company in future.
