Having heard about this place for years from my parents, i finally took my family to stay in Olhos D'agua with my parents, and they took us to this, their favourite place to eat. It did not disappoint. What you get here is homemade food, fresh ingredients, cooked well, for little money. We had a 4 course special, starting with bread, oilves and fish paste. This was followed by either soup or salad, both were very nice. Then there is a decent selection of special dishes, all sounding extremely appetising. I plumped for the sea bass, and it tasted lovely, but you must remember that in Portugal, fish always comes bone-in. It was served with vegetables and either boiled potatoes or chips. I had homemade creme caramel for dessert, and coffee to finish. The meal also comes with a drink. I had a large coke, but my father had half a carafe of wine with his, and everyone else had iced teas, water and fanta. Two of us had coffees after our meal, and for a family of 7, the whole thing cost £63 after conversion. Read moreVisited the Cappuccino restaurant on 7/2/24 at 6pm as we usually go every week, but on this occasion the meal was very disappointing, I had the sea Bass "fillets" which were not fillets at all, it was on the bone, it was overcooked dried up and not hot,it was only warm, the vegetables were also only just warm, my wife had the lamb chops which were also only warm and dried up nothing seemed like it had been freshly cooked but obviously cooked some time earlier would rather have waited longer and had freshly cooked food, chips were also tasteless, the couple on the next table were also not impressed with theirs, it seems its best to visit later in the evening to get freshly cooked food. They offer an all inclusive 3 course meal both lunchtime and evenings I cannot visit without having a bowl of their homemade Tomato soup it’s delicious along with a big list of Portuguese dishes meat and fish.
