Great Location, very close to the new strip and only a 10 minute walk to Praia Azur. Pleasant staff and most importantly for me personally, excellent cleaning services. The rooms were spotless, towels changed everyday along with toiletries such as shampoo, lotion etc. Generally good facilities available in the hotel with a reasonably ok gym for a hotel. Spacious apartment, in a surprisingly quite area even though the strip was only a few minutes away. Few nice restaurants in the area also. Interestingly, we were also not asked for a deposit, which came as somewhat of a surprise as every hotel I've ever stayed in required a safery deposit and credit card details. Perhaps the best part of this hotel was the value for money aspect, we got the room for an absolute bargain and honestly i was not expecting much from the hotel but i was pleasantly surprised with it. There's also a car rental place and a few shops just outside of the hotel.
Now for the not so good parts. The hotel is ancient, furniture is very old and outdated. There is a bath instead of a walk in shower, i really don't know who still uses baths they're just annoying and wasteful. Also getting in and out of the shower is just that much more annoying as it's slippery in the bathtub, there was also no handrails to hold onto. The entrance to the hotel goes through this akward tunnel and up a very steep but short incline. Our studio was strangely laid out. The TV was quite small and channels in English weren't the best, could really do with a Netflix subscription instead of whatever they have there now. TV was also kinda hard to see from one of the beds as there is a strange partition in the room blocking the view. A safe was also a separate service that had to be purchased separately unfortunately. The air conditioning unit in the balcony was very annoying. If you want to keep your room cool and sit in the balcony at the same time, you'll have this big air con unit humming and spewing warm air at you and if you have any clothes left drying on the clothes rack in the balcony you won't really be able to move the table anywhere as there isn't sufficient space. The carpets along the hallways and corridors in the hotel look absolutely nasty and are so worn out. They look like they have been there since the 80s and just make the hallways look and feel horendous.
Overall its excellent value for money, id recommend this to anyone with a tighter budget you won't be disappointed. But, if you're after a luxurious hotel look elsewhere. This is classified as a 4 star hotel but in reality its more like a 3 star. A general tip for anyone who is going to the Algarve just to get a tan and relax, don't bother going to Albufeira, I've been to a few seperate locations along the Algarve and its gorgeous and littered with beautiful beches, no matter where you are you'll find a beach. If you're looking for night life go to Albufeira, if not then may aswell book a hotel in a smaller town for alot cheaper. This way you will also get away from the annoying stags and...

My 2 friends and I booked this hotel for a girls holiday. The location to the new town strip was a 5 minute walk and was very good, and a 4 euro uber to the old town was also brilliant.
However the hotel, as we checked in we found the receptionist rather rude and just seemed as if she didn’t want to be there, as you usually would when checking into hotels you do ask a couple questions our questions asked was answered by one word answers or a grunt. We then found out we had to pay one hundred euros pp for a deposit. We arrived at the hotel around 11am-12pm and had to wait until 4pm to check into our rooms, we were allowed to keep our bags in a room until then which was fine.
Every day cleaners would come into our rooms and clean the room, fresh bedding and towels, which we were throughly impressed by and was probably the best part about the hotel. The room itself was fine we had a double bed and a pull out sofa which done us fine, our balcony was spacious and the bathroom was good (however the shower wasn’t very powerful and tended to flood the bathroom). Our balcony looked out onto the other hotel which was nice at night time as it got quite lively.
The security man was nice for the first few nights. On our first night he made sure to tell us to be careful of the new town strip and to stay together which we thought was very nice. Until we received a “noise complaint”, security banged on our door at 5am making more noise than anyone in the room (there was 7 people in the room) and telling us we were making too much noise however we were sitting in our room talking to one another with both doors shut over. We were given one chance at our £300 deposit, so i’d reccommend if staying here for a party holiday be very aware that the hotel security doesn’t take the piss.
The pool area was good, however the bar was basic food and over priced drinks, for what you pay for you’d be better walking down the new town strip to a bar where you’d get better food and drinks for half the price.
Over all, i wouldn’t reccommend for a family holiday just be aware alot of groups for party holidays stay here and if your looking for somewhere quiet this probably isn’t the place for you as the music is loud at night and majority get back from the strip around 3-6ish am. For a party holiday id defo reccomend but just be wary of security and the...
Read moreBooked this hotel as it was a few minutes walk from the Paraiso hotel where I was attending a Northern Soul Weekender and had good reviews so for the price was quite happy with the choice. You arrive just off the roundabout and have to go under a underpass to get to the main entrance. There is parking available along the right hand side of the car park for no extra charge so that was a bonus. I opted for a one bedroom apartment for my husband and I Room 416 overlooking the pool. Basic room with kitchen: microwave, dishwasher, 4 ring hob (no oven) kettle, toaster, fridge and the usual utensils. They leave you a dishwasher tablet but there are no cleaning products so bring some washing up liquid and a scourer though they do leave you a hand towel and tea cloth. Bathroom okay nothing negative to report. Television in the dining area is quite small and there is no British channels. My husband opted to sleep on the sofa bed in the lounge and I had the upstairs bedroom. We both had balconies but there are no tables and chairs on the upper balcony. Only one remote for the Aircon so you have to share that. Only main negatives are the balcony door in the lounge area has gaps at the top so you could hear the noise from the strip until about 5am and there is four residential houses next to the hotel with yapping dogs all night I think the owners leave the dog on the balcony not sure why. The pool area is lovely very clean lots of beds however there is no toilet to use you have to go down to level 0 reception to use the toilet and there is no bar by the pool just a wooden kiosk with a vending machine for drinks. We didn’t use the hotel as was using other venues outside. My husband had the breakfast each morning which he said was perfectly okay. You have to pay for the safe which is €3 per day and you don’t get your money back for that. Bring your own towel as they do not allow bathroom towels to be used by the pool. Hotel is ideally located with lots of bars and restaurants nearby including a supermarket directly opposite the roundabout. It’s a 30 minute walk to the old town of Albufeira and a 15 minute walk...
