O Galeão — Restaurant in Albufeira

We visited this place and were funny surprised by the presentation of the dishes, the mussels were not cleaned with seaweed inside - they looked disgusting, we ordered fish soup (there was no smell of fish there 😀 The dishes were extremely fatty and oversalted. We also ordered a burger for our child, the taste was disgusting. We also ordered the traditional dish Cataplana, which is served everywhere in Portugal, it would seem impossible to spoil it, but 😅 and it turned out to be tasteless. The only positive critic here is the perfect location on the beach. The food was not tasty at all... Cooked without love.. strange to say it that way but you feel when the food is cooked with some passion or at least when the cook is trying to serve something more or less the food tasteful for the guests... Here is unfortunately not the case. The bread tasted like it was three days old and you are being charged extra for it... The mussels tasted also old and unfortunately not good.. The pasta shrimps was Very strange.. We didn't understand the taste it was just strange and also not tasty.. The octopus was also nothing special... We were in many restaurants during our Algarve holiday but this place was the best for us! We arrived late ( after the beautiful sunset), but they let us to sit down without any negativ comment. They were very kind, especially the waiter. He had fancy and energy ( we were the last eating guests) to teach me how to the portugese people eat the grilled sardines :D (+ I got a traditional salad and bread too as a present! )It was also very kind and thank you again the kindness and experiences! The view also beautiful, food is delicious and they have avarage prices! I recommend to visit them! Best wishes...
