Restaurante Praia da Galé — Restaurant in Albufeira

We booked this restaurant with high hopes but were sadly left feeling disappointed. The setting is beautiful however the service we received really let the place down! Party of 6, 2 shared a delicious sea bream with everyone else naively ordering the cod fish not realising that this was a salted fish. We opted for it grilled and quite honestly it was inedible, dry and tasteless. Nobody came round to check everything was ok so people ate what they could but upon clearing the table we gave our feedback that was clear given the still pretty full plates. A very arrogant waiter then came and asked if everything was good, we again shared our feedback to which we received eye rolls and he retorted, it wasn’t a normal cod, and he had questioned (to himself) when we ordered if we knew what it was we were ordering and that cod fish is much better in the oven as it’s less dry - very unhelpful given by this stage it was too late! No effort was made to turn our experience around so we paid and left. Bad food choice but this could have been avoided with a little care and attention from the waiter. Zero hospitality, we won’t...

I usually don't give bad reviews online but I cannot persuade myself not to do so for this restaurant. I don't want other ppl having the same bad experience. THEY ARE SCAM!!!

1. our bill was charged 1 extra glass of wine and 1 extra cup of coffee, which we never ordered. Luckily, we found it out and asked them to remove.

2. They charged tax separately from the price shown on menu. I understand tax would apply, but no one told us their menu price is not including tax. We have tried several other restaurants in the area and this restaurant is the only one telling us their price is not including tax. They should make it clear before ppl starting to order. I hate restaurant tried to overcharge tourist.

To be honest, we don't find their food any special. Only the view is ok as it's right next...

Very disappointing experience – rude and unprofessional management

We came here hoping to enjoy a relaxed lunch with some drinks before ordering food later, but the management’s attitude was shockingly rude. Instead of welcoming us or speaking politely, they approached us in a very disrespectful tone, accusing us of not ordering food – even though we clearly said we planned to order shortly.

On top of that, they confronted us for supposedly using their Wi-Fi to work on a laptop, even though we were using our own mobile data. The way they treated us was completely unprofessional and hostile.

This is not how paying customers should be treated. We left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. Definitely will not return and would not recommend this place to anyone who expects basic respect and...
