We have come to Albufeira in October for the last 6 years or so. We always buy our bread and rolls from here as they are very nice. However two things would help make this business a lot better and friendlier. I cannot say the staff seem the most happy and friendly, rarely do you get a welcoming smile from any of them. If you are not familiar with this shop it is not unusual to see people waiting at the counter to be served instead of going to the till to place and pay for their orders. Whilst there are signs in Portuguese explaining this, there don’t seem to be any in English. I try to use basic Portuguese as I feel it is good to attempt to speak the language but the vast majority of customers particularly English seem unsure of the paying and ordering process and then get annoyed that they are seemingly ignored by the staff. Read moreVery good local Portuguese cafe. Didn't take enough photos but this place is very busy in the morning. Usually you have to wait in the queue as it is always busy. The staff are so friendly as the pastry we want didn't have it on the display, they had to go in the kitchen had to make fresh pastry for us. Easy and smart system to pay. Would recommend family and kids and someone who love pastry to try the menu out. Coffee, pastry, sandwich, drinks etc are actually very good.
