Snack-bar Falésia — Restaurant in Albufeira

I previously rated this 5* as a lovely cafe/bar, friendly staff with a short and scenic walk from parking just up the hill.

I was in Portugal again last week, stayed locally, and the cafe was the first place I visited, driving directly there from the airport. All seemed the same as I parked, lovely views, etc. However, very slow service, and I felt very much ignored by the apparently disinterested staff. This was repeated on each subsequent visit, resulting in my choice to go elsewhere for my morning coffee by the last few days of my holiday.

Staff always pleasant and welcoming. Maria is a lovely person. Prices are reasonable for a beach cliff top bar. Food is good. I would like to say that some other reviews are misleading - and some are just not true. e.g. the one where they claim the bar charges 14 Euros for 2 beers in plastic glasses. Terrible service. We just wanted some ice cream and the staff spoke with us badly because my friend wanted an ice cream that they didn’t have. They told us that we were “spending too much of their time” choosing another one… there was no one waiting and we didn’t spend much time.

We also saw the other colleague serving/speaking with an old woman rudely too. Obviously they don’t want to work and serve...
