This is (for the time being) Aljezur's best-kept secret! The fact that we discovered a very high level of cuisine and respect for food in a place far from the bustle of the city and where the challenges of finding customers and good staff to work with are overcome with great success was the first of many surprises. Here, I discovered unpretentious food where the best local products and small producers are highlighted to showcase what the area is known for producing, and my god... it's so delicious! From bread, cured ham, black garlic, and cashew cheese (what?!), crudo fish with sweet potato pickle and lemon leaf oil, to pistachio and carob ice cream. The very amiable head of the room and creator of the drinking menu, who knew how to read the menu flawlessly and accompany the meal with stunning simplicity, served a cocktail menu to go along with all of this. I can only speak of the smiles and happy eye rolls that the food brought out in me; I don't speak as a food critic; rather, I speak as a simple customer whose feelings and reactions were awakened in a way I never felt before. I think it was the best meal I've ever had. I'll leave it up to everyone who gives it a shot, even though it might seem over the top. Thank you Rafael, Wilson, Fanny,...

Would give this place 6 stars on every dimension if possible. My wife and I have traveled to many countries, and we always focus on savoring the local cuisine. It is no exaggeration to say that CERA is the best restaurant we have ever been to. The food is all incredibly fresh and rich, and the entrees are creative and innovative, while also comforting, with deep satisfying flavor profiles. This is especially impressive since my wife and I are vegan, which constrained how much of the menu we could try. Nevertheless, CERA had plenty of wonderfully delicious vegan options. We loved our experience so much that we returned to this restaurant 4 times during our 1.5 week trip in the area. The atmosphere is also very cozy and warm, with an authentic local communal feel. They played excellent music, and the staff were super friendly and charming. Our waitress was herself deeply passionate about cooking and recipes, and we had very interesting and enriching discussions about every dish we ordered. We really got the sense that all the folks who work at this restaurant are there for the sincere pleasure of sharing the soulful art of cooking. Do not miss this place on your trip through Aljezur! It is a hidden gem that will...

Tremendous experience, I CANNOT speak highly enough of this place. High end cuisine in a remote, quiet region. The staff are all lovely and treated us like family. The space is cozy and inviting with regular events and live music. The food was absolutely heavenly, every dish left us speechless with its fragrant, biological, fresh, local ingredients. Clearly every detail and care was taken into account to make this an unforgetabble meal. The menu changes from time to time keeping things exciting and the low prices won't let anyone feeling hungry. The quality of the photos I'm posting, I think, doesn't make the food justice. Shoutout to the bartender as the drinks were equally amazing and you could taste the care and thought with which they were made. I don't know of another establishment that would justify a one day trip from Lisbon to the south of the country (roughly 250km) like this. I just know I'll definitely do it again and...

Cera is an amazing culinary experience! Fresh & local selected ingredients. The dishes are cooked with passion and bring an explosion of flavors in your mouth. The owners and the employees are really friendly and welcoming. I keep coming back to try all the dishes as they adapt the menu with the seasons, and it’s always perfect! They also have very good portuguese wines (organic). Try the tartare with a cold Suba Pét Nat! They also make their own licors with local fruits. Great cuisine, great chef, great owners!
