I visited Varzea first for lunch and then the following day for dinner. On both occasions, I thought the service was great, though for dinner they were a bit rushed, please chill a bit and give ppl time to finish chewing before offering desert. On the desert topic, great, I loved it. Food is excellent, the best I had in these parts for sure. My favourite was the Picanha. I tried both the little pig and the steak, the steak wins for sure. It's way more tasty and well presented. For desert, I tried the tiramisu and chocolate mousse, both are great. I would highly recommend trying this place, but do book ahead as it gets very busy. They answer their phone, my emails never got answered. Thank you again.

We came here for lunch while passing through while walking the fisherman’s trail and staying at hotel across the street. Lovely light and airy atmosphere and nicely tucked away from the road. I had the swordfish which was cooked perfectly and served with a relish topping that complemented the fish nicely. This was served with a small chopped salad and 3 crispy potato patties which were both delicious. Presentation was thoughtful and appealing. My husband had the shrimp with egg and beans. The presentation was aLao appealing and my husband loved the dish. Meal was light and tasty but still was hearty enough to fill us up after our walk. Service was efficient and attentive.

The whole experience was terrible. I ordered tajine with tiger prawn, instead I was served normal shrimps. When I complained both waiters insisted it was tiger prawn. The place outside is infested with mosquitos, when we asked if there was repellent or repellent candles they just ignored us. Fortunately we got a place inside to enjoy the rest of our meal. This is also something that happens everyday so they should warn the guests or have solutions for the problem. All and all the food was not great, the service was terrible, the atmosphere was hard to deal with and the price is not cheap. Will not be returning.

What an excellent restaurant! Fully against my own principles and custom during holidays I even went back a second time with my girlfriend. The first time we went for lunch around 14.30, rather late, but not a problem for the personnel who were all very friendly, and in a genuine way! The second time we were rather early for dinner (around 19.30), which turned out a wise choice because later that evening it became very crowded. Both in the afternoon and evening the food was well presented, with an original combination of different tastes and styles. The menu offers an interesting combo of local and innovative food. The atmosphere is laid-back, though all staff is working hard whilst still being attentive. If you are ever in the surrounding area, please do visit...

WOW, amazing! Not sure, if it's a corona or us visiting other sad tourist places or just this place standing a head above competition. Absolutely stunning. I went for lamb sausage smth Moroccan style and was blown away. And my better half took a black-pork (recommended by our hotel) and honestly - pork is what we eat at home, whole live, all ways, more than anything. This was a top of the tops. So juicy, so tender, so flavorsome. A stunning - restaurant like performance out of kitchen for what seemed as a typical, high-end bistro. Really, really good. I am happy we did not get into other tourist-place that was recommended just to end up here. 6/5 stars, easy, and i...
