Good simple local food for a low price, in an authentic interior, with nice tiles on the walls. Great roasted sardines, and roasted chicken. Extra points for the old lady taking our orders, speaking only Portuguese, and thus irritating the arrogant French tourists, speaking only French. Don't panic, the menu is translated in English also. She also chased the cat entering the restaurant, begging for food....

We went there on a Monday for lunch, I ordered the chicken and was served BBQ chicken from the previous day! The cook came out as I was feeding it to the dog, I told her the dog was eating my chicken cause it was not cooked today and I don't like left over heated up chicken. Charming place. Interior is very nice, old world, tidy and neat. Service was very pleasant and attentive. Our sweet server spoke excellent English. Food was very good and excellent value.
