Rocostar cafe — Restaurant in Bombarral

Visited for drinks, snacks, brunch and dinner during our stay in the area early October. Its a busy street cafe /restaurant and its lovely to sit outside and watch the world go by. There is also an indoor dining room. Its a busy place, so always a good atmosphere, but not too overcrowded. The food was fresh, the service was excellent, the staff are chatty and friendly. We even asked for food that was not on the menu and this was not a problem. I will definitely go back, hopefully sooner rather than later. Especially to see the star of Bombarral, Lucas. He spends all day chilling out up and down the avenue. He's absolutely adorable.

Returned October 2021 Very busy and waited quite a while for our food, but it was good when it arrived and its a pleasant setting, so not that bad!

November 2021, Back again and its still a very busy little eatery. Had a local dish Bitoque, very tasty and plentiful, freshly cooked. Had a good chat with the owner who is a lovely guy. Will be back next year. Oh and good old Lucas is...

Hadn’t been there in a while. Recommend it only for ice cream. Terrible service. The garlic bread was cheese bread with garlic mayo! Huge portion, more an entree than appetizer. The octopus was hard and the potatoes were miserable. The veggie burgers were ok but burgers and pizza, that’s it. The other food just sucks. And the look of the kitchen… seeing a woman with scruffy hair, pajama pants and slippers go to a dodgy fridge made us wonder if we should leave. We should have. 4 people, €71. Found...

First time there, really enjoyed the food and the service. My wife had a pizza and I had the mixed grill (beef, pork and sausage). Both were great. We shared a liter of wine and a dessert (an individual portion of cheesecake) and the total was €24,50. We will DEFINITELY go back to try out more of...
