I found a place that serves Vietnamese pho in Braga! That makes me happy as it’s one of my favorite foods. It’s a simple and comforting meal, and it really helps clears the allergies from my head.
I asked for a special combination pho of beef and shrimp. The broth was light and aromatic. Everything was cooked well: beef and shrimp were tender and not overcooked. Good portion size too.
My dining companions greatly enjoyed their food (Donkatsu and Honey Chicken) as well.
Service was great and I experienced no difficulty with communicating in English.
It’s a little hidden; I suggest walking to the Basilica of the Congregations’ front door, a few meters east of the front door will be Rua Dom João Cândido de Novais e Sousa, turn right, and head south. Cô Linh had twinkling lights on their window when I was there.

The Pad Thai was just okay — nothing special. The curry lacked spice and had an overpowering MSG-like flavor. The crispy chicken was decent, but it could’ve used more sauce. The udon didn’t resemble authentic Asian udon at all; it was quite bland and again tasted mostly of MSG.
The service was surprisingly slow, even though the restaurant wasn’t full. Two of the dishes arrived about 10 minutes before the rest, which made the experience feel disorganized.
On the positive side, the waitress was extremely friendly and her English was excellent, which we really...
