Truthfully disappointed.

Food: While my main (fish) was quite good, approximately half the parties in our group had issues with their food. A steak ordered medium was delivered blue, steaks had lots of gristle, omelette wasn’t good, etc.

Service: Awful. Server did not engage in any conversation, nor check up following mains.

Food runners did not know the plates they were carrying, resulting in a mix-up with fish.

Bill: As others have mentioned, this place will try to sneak extras onto the bill. Extra bottle of wine and a few extra cheeses appeared.

Having sampled all of the restaurants down around the beach, can say this is not one of the better ones....

I've been to a couple of restaurants in Portugal now, but this was by far the worst. It's a total rip-off. As soon as they realise you're not Portuguese, they load a couple of things on your table without even asking, making it seem Iike that's the norm and kind of included. And they get rude if you don't want all of it and don't order any more. Interesting enough with everyone else speaking Portuguese they present the food and ask and give them a choice. Just be careful with what's on the bill in the end. They pretend to be fancy but they're actually not. And the food is not even good. The whole thing is...

As others have said this restaurant serves excellent, we'll priced local food, with friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere BUT beware unexpected additions to the bill. The unsolicited starters seem to be the norm around here but were also overcharged for water. All removed with minimal fuss when we questioned the bill but still a negative way to end to an otherwise very good meal.
