Gemini was just updated.  See update close Conversation with Gemini expand_moreedit Prepare a simple 100-word narrative about our excellent eating experience at restaurante Casa dos Caracóis. After another back breaking Camino hiking day, my friends and I decided to have another day of local Portuguese cuisine and Casa dos Caracois didn't let us down. Superb Fried Caracois, Bacahlau and Meat Sausages, Padrones, Francinchina, and mouth watering mussels and the excellent tomato rice. Of course the staff is great too. Highly recommend

Show drafts volume_up Exhausted but triumphant after another day on the Camino, our little group craved a taste of Portugal. Casa dos Caracóis hit the spot perfectly. Crispy fried caracois, the star of the show, were joined by savory bacalhau, garlicky meat sausages, blistered padrones, and a truly delicious francesinha. We devoured every bite, including the mussels and the rich tomato rice. Not to be outdone, the staff were friendly and attentive. Casa dos Caracóis: highly recommended for weary pilgrims and anyone seeking a fantastic...

I don't usually leave negative reviews but this restaurant won't be getting a Michelin star anytime soon. First, they serve you some tapas, which are good and cheap (I think) but they don't tell you that you will pay for it at the end. Maybe you are on a budget and you will find yourself in the position of having to pay for food you didn't order. The pork steak was chewy and a bit raw. The meat was probably cooked directly from the freezer, my guess. The grilled sardines were very good. Too bad they weren't gutted and had some very large scales on their skin, probably from other fish? Sangria was good. The dessert menu is a lady who lists and explains all the available cakes. We had the chocolate mousse, it was very good. Overall, the experience wasn't the worst, maybe just from the last 2 weeks of traveling through Portugal,...

I recently dined at this restaurant and was blown away by the quality of their picanha – it's truly one of the best I've tasted in Portugal! The meat was succulent, full of flavor, and served at a surprisingly fair price, especially when you compare it to what you'd pay in bigger cities. The service was just as impressive. The side dishes were a delightful complement to the main course, packed with flavor and well-prepared. Although the fries didn't quite hit the mark for me, it didn't detract from the overall excellence of the meal. For the quality and price, this spot is a must-visit for anyone looking for a...

Came here for dinner with friends on recommendation. It was about 7.30pm on a Saturday evening and we managed to get the last table as it was very busy, mainly with locals. It had a lovely ambience and it took a bit of time to get served. We ordered a lovely bottle of white wine and sparkling water then had a main meal each. Sea bass; Salmon and side salad. The quality and quantity of the food was excellent and it cost €20 per person so was superb value for money. We will be going back again!
