Solar do Pescado — Restaurant in Caminha

We were staying at the Caminha Orbitur Camping and went to Solar di Pescado for dinner.The Restaurant is small and cozy,reminded us of a small italian Restaurant. The staff is very friendly,attentive and spoke a bit english. We shared lulas grelhado(grilled octopus) as a starter(a delight,very tender,just with fresh lemon).Followed by a linguado(sole fish) with boiled potatoes and cabbage. A dream! The sole was so tender and tasteful. The other dish was Ameijoas (mussels) with koriander in a incredibly tasteful juice of wine,lemon herbs. Great food, super tasty, generous portions... and the service is really good. It was packed when we entered the restaurant and we were the last to leave. My white asparagus starter was tasty, as well as the cheese and bread and everything. My friend had a good portion of banana prawns, and they were delicious. My dish was sole with potatoes and cabbage. Everything tasted great. My only criticism is that in Portugal all fish and seafood is almost always overcooked, and that's not necessary. Delicious food and professional service – everything well prepared and beautifully presented. However, the tiny table for two made it uncomfortable, and although we sat on the terrace, we weren't allowed to use an empty table for four that stayed unoccupied the entire time. The waiter brought a small side table, which helped but also highlighted the issue. Being on the terrace, passing cars were quite distracting despite the pedestrian zone.
