Our family's first dinner in Portugal and it was AMAZING! Our waiter Joao was very friendly and hospitable. First we had appetizer: different kinds of bread, olives, cuttlefish, cheeses, butter, and sausage. The cuttlefish, olives, and sausage were out of the world! We had cod, salmon, dourada with red wine. They were served with vegetables, olives, and potatoes. All were delicious. Joao even gave us a free cream of broccoli! Even though we were full, Joao convinced us to try the layered chocolate cake. After trying it, my older son proclaimed, "I was full but I am not full anymore." The cake was just surprisingly delicious! We sat downstairs (quiet and easy to have conversation) but we saw the dining room upstairs (noisier but pleasant atmosphere). The Caiprioska was pretty weak and wouldn't recommend.
I asked if the Piano de Vitela was pork or beef as I really wanted some beef. I was told it can come either way, but it was very much pork when it arrived.
The portions were pretty small and the feijão wasn't so good. It also comes with potato chips, rather than freshly cooked batata fritas.
