Just finished dining at Rui dos Leitões, and this is one of those places one must visit as soon and as many times as possible. We were heading up to the in-laws for new years, but had to stop for dinner, so we searched for a suggestion from Google. We stepped out of the highway and headed to Rui's. The place is very well decorated and the staff is very welcoming and helpful. We started with a bottle of wine and green olives. The bread was very fresh and tasty. The hubby had Leitão obviously and I had the chateubriend, and let me tell you, it was absolutely amazing. The meat felt like butter in my mouth and the portion is just right for one person, but is enought to share. The Leitão was the best I've ever had, the meat was just falling off the bone and the skin was crackling like a chip. The waiters kept checking up on us, to see if everything was ok, if we needed anything, but in a very friendly, familial way. Felt like we were regular costumers, even tho we were there for the first time. For dessert we splitted a cup of Natas do Céu, and they didn't dissapoint. Very creamy and well balanced flavor. The price/quality is not even in question here. The bill amounted was about 25€ per person, but it was a bit more because we got a portion of Leitão to go. One of the best restaurants we...

A must-visit for Leitão lovers!

We had an incredible meal at Rui dos Leitões. The leitão was exceptionally tender, packed with flavour, and had that perfect crispy skin that makes all the difference. Every bite was a reminder of why this dish is such a Portuguese classic.

The service was equally impressive — warm, professional, and attentive from start to finish. It really elevated the whole experience.

We paired the meal with a refreshing frisante wine, which complemented the leitão beautifully.

Thank you for a memorable experience — we’ll definitely be back - especially knowing how closely it is...

Delicious food and great service! We came here for the roasted piglet, and it absolutely lived up to the hype — tender, crispy, and packed with flavor. Everything was served hot and fresh, and you can tell they know what they’re doing in the kitchen.

The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was impressively fast without feeling rushed. It’s the perfect spot if you’re craving authentic Portuguese flavors in a relaxed, no-fuss setting. Highly...
