Sky Valley Restaurant & Sushibar — Restaurant in Esposende

Unfortunately I am back to change my review. I am visiting from Canada and 10 months ago I was at Sky Valley for the first time and left very impressed with the service, the atmosphere but mostly the sushi. I recommended this place to families and friends. Today I left disappointed. I am not sure if management has changed but the quality of the food and service is not what it used to be. I am definitely upset that we received water in a Voss water bottle and we were charged 6,00€. This was not Voss water!! In fact, all the Voss bottles on the table waiting to be served to the customers were already opened and most likely filled with tap water. The sticker that goes over the cap and the bottle, to ensure that it is closed, did not align. Do not serve people tap water and charge 6€!!! The servers were not attentive and one person had stains on their uniform as if they worked in the kitchen. For the price you pay the lack of presentation and hygiene is...

The sushi is good but it's not the best I had. In my opinion, the ratio quality/price is not good, the sushi is too expensive for it's quality and quantity. Of course, I agree that you also pay for the experience and the experience is definitely 'different'. Also, there is clearly a constant pressure in making you drink more and more of their cocktails. I don't like the pressure but the cocktails are indeed very good. One of the guys, the youngest one I believe, that served us was super nice and humble what felt such a 'relief' in a place like that. In sum, if you want to have a 'fancy/different' experience, that's definitely a go to place. If you prefer a simple, humble and cozy place as I do, that's...

Definitely worth the five stars! My best sushi experience for sure. The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere, not only for the good music, but also for the low lights at night...This sushi hits any other for its high quality dishes...the fish is so fresh here...it looks like it was caught just before being on the plate. And I can not fail to mention the incredible presentation. My congrats to the Sushi Man and of course to the waiters ... they were super friendly and helpful ... summing up, the service was 5 star just like the experience itself. I hope to return soon. And you should have that experience too...it's expensive, I know, but it's super worth it. Go on a special...
