I recently visited this restaurant in Praia de Faro,Portugal, and decided to try their hamburger. Overall, I had a good experience at this restaurant.
The hamburger itself was cooked to my liking and had a nice char on the outside. The bun was soft and fresh, and the toppings were all fresh and flavorful. I appreciated that they didn't go overboard with the condiments, which allowed the natural flavors of the meat and toppings to shine through.
The atmosphere of the restaurant was also quite pleasant. The decor was modern and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and attentive. I didn't have to wait long for my food to arrive, and my server was happy to answer any questions I had about the menu.
The only downside to my experience was the price. While the food was certainly tasty, it was also quite expensive for a hamburger. However, given the quality of the ingredients and the overall experience, I felt that the price was still reasonable.
Overall, I would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good hamburger in praia de faro, Portugal. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the staff were friendly...
Read moreThis bar has ok food that tried hard but the execution was off. Gorgeous across-the-street ocean beach views & a stone's throw from the Faro airport, when waiting for your friend's late arrival on Ryanair. The Best: A delicious softshell crab slider. Great flavors. The Worst: Horrible 🥟 gyoza, no texture to the oxtail, it was like meat paste. Very unappealing. The ponzu sauce was terribly salty, should thin with a touch more rice vinegar. The Meh: The fried chicken taco had good 🥑 guacamole flavor. But the chicken was cold (weird) and the 'pico de gallo' was not spicy at all. As in no no jalapeño. No chilies. Nada. The bits of diced pineapple in the pico had no discernable flavor at all. Didn't taste fresh. Tasted canned. Overall the dish had good flavor as a whole, but wanted some heat in the sauce and some heat as in serve hot chicken. Also the tortilla did not taste heated. So not at all like a taco. More like a Cold Chicken 🌯 Wrap, which I would not have ordered.. The 2nd waiter helped me choose a wine by the glass, that was very good and listened patiently to my input....
Read moreWe had lunch here twice during our stay in Faro. The food is homemade and overall quite good, but the experience left us disappointed both times. Portions are really small for the price — I had a salad that left me still hungry even though it cost over €15, and my husband’s poké bowl was half the size of what you’d get at places like Pokawa for the same price. Starters like the croquettes were tasty but very tiny for €7.20. Desserts, at least, had reasonable portions.
What really impacted our impression, though, was the service. Both times, we felt like we were bothering the staff just by being there. There was an uncomfortable vibe — like we were welcome mainly as long as we were spending money.
Also, a note on the bill: ours was €65, but a higher amount (€72) was printed next to it. When I took out my card, the waiter immediately asked “tips?” which gave the impression that the higher amount was expected — unless you say no. That kind of pressure for a tip felt inappropriate, especially given the...
