Visitors and tourists should avoid this place. My partner and I were recently harassed here while trying to order two lattes on our way to the airport to return home after an otherwise lovely few days in Lisbon. We approached politely and spoke slow, basic English while ordering, but staff didn’t understand ‘latte’ or ‘coffee’ or ‘leche’ despite owning a cafe in an internationally diverse city. Instead, while everyone stared at us, an elderly customer decided to berate us in Portuguese that we should be speaking Portuguese while in Portugal. Do you learn the language of every country you visit for a few days? Of course not. Have some compassion for foreigners fumbling their way through a new place. Don’t let your customers harass and disrespect other customers, period. Staff made no attempt to help in this regard. They also don’t have paper cups for takeout, so our hot coffee was poured into tiny plastic water cups that started melting as we drank. What kind of cafe doesn’t offer takeaway? Acho um desrespeito com o cliente pagar um croissant pelo mesmo valor de um croissant fresco, do dia. Trabalho em um determinado sítio onde o dono dar TODOS os sábados quando a pastelaria fecha TODOS os bolos, salgados e sopa do dia aos funcionários. Porque hoje está tudo muito caro por causa dessa infeliz Guerra na UCRÂNIA. ( porque aos domingos a pastelaria fecha. Que fique de alerta aos idiotas ( todos os dias sai um de casa, e hoje a idiota foi eu no caso) que saem de casa para tomar um peque almoço decente e não é dito ao cliente que o croissant não é do dia.
