My partner and I are always on the hunt for great specialty coffee, and during our week in Lisbon, we visited over six different coffee spots. Parioca Café quickly rose to the top of our list.
I won’t give too much away with photos — some places are best discovered in person.
What made this spot so memorable wasn’t just the coffee (though it was excellent), but the feeling of being there. The woman at the table next to us, urging her friend to try the best slice of cake she’s had in Lisbon. The incredibly kind staff. The neighbor stopping by with her adorable Dalmatian puppy, sipping coffee in the windowsill. The two women at the next table, sharing a surprised smile as their cappuccinos arrived, picture-perfect.

My #1 spot in the city, amazing cold drinks when it’s hot and warm drinks when it’s cold.

Top 3 dishes on my opinion: Granola Scramble toast Banana bread
Top drinks Fresh juice of the day Mate with lime Chai latte Hot chocolate

Read moreWhat a joyous start to our day! So so so impressed with everything being delivered effortlessly and with so much passion and care for running this cafe. The service was delightful- we formed a real connection with the owner whose attention to our dietary requirements was most appreciated. Accidentally, an additional ingredient of meat was added to the eggs but he immediately rectified this and before the plate could touch the table, he apologised profusely and very kindly gifted us a cookie on the house. What a gentleman! The food itself was delicious and well flavoured. The setting so tranquil away from the hustle and bustle from the tourists. Thank you and I hope your relic of a cafe prospers but remains the quirky Wes Anderson- like hidden...
